I find Felicia quite an interesting character. For all her naivete, or rather frankly, stupidity, (nothing about being a carnation screams "fun") I think there's a genuine heart and genuine care for others. I imagine if/when Ian introduces Mina to the club she is not take that news well at all. At least I hope so anyway.
I find it difficult to say much about Felicia for certain. Her normal behavior seems to be... probably not an act but definitely an exaggerated affectation. I'm sure she
is a warm and outgoing person with a sweet tooth for debauchery, but she knows when to play that up or tone it down very well. It allows her come across as extremely open despite keeping her motives almost totally obscure. People seem so surprised that she would want to join the carnation club that no one has bothered to speculate on why. It's remarkable they actually let her become a Carnation in the first place, though perhaps Mrs. Pullman knows more than we do.
Felicia being married was an instant no for me, Mina is Ian's girlfriend and, though he is an asshole to her, I am not going to steal her away. So for me it is Hana, Rosalind (her husband left her), or maybe some new character...
Veronica and Hana are the only two I really find appealing, probably in no small part they are the two who refuse to disguise their contempt for the Club.
Veronica's physique is a little extreme, but beyond that she might as well be made of awesome. She has a pretty face and her glasses give an alternative look that works for both allure or snark. She favors the direct approach but is never stupid about it. Her willingness to call the club members on their bullshit also conveniently makes me (the player) more inclined to trust that any kind words she offers the MC are genuine; that makes pursuing Veronica feel far less predatory than, say, Rosalind. Lastly, her taste and humor are a good fit for me. After Felicia's over-the-top nympho act and Rosalind's literal kowtowing in the first exhibition, I found Veronica's plan to massage and dance for the MC was much appreciated.
As for Hana, punk and goth are not normally my thing, but her backstory makes her a natural fit to bond with the MC and that makes up for a lot of missing chemistry. Her enthusiasm for motorcycles and music is strong enough to be infectious. It's also downright therapeutic to spend time holding hands with her after a session with rest of the Club. Naturally, I find the implication that Mrs. Pullman sees an advantage in letting the MC get close to Hana exceedingly ominous, but I'll trust the dev not to be completely sadistic about it.
[Don't think I'm not watching you!]
As for the others, Mina is a sweetheart and I'd like her if she were available. But even if Ian is an asshole, breaking them up to get Mina would be wrong. As I alluded to above, Rosalind's eagerness to please combined with her refusal to take "no strings" for an answer means it would always feel super sleazy to try anything with her. Felicia is way too focused on casual (if kinky) sex to make much of an impression on me. As I said, I suspect there is more to her than that, but until it takes center stage I can't really judge her on it. And Kathleen would never work out. Even if I trusted her within 10 feet of my avatar's genitals (which - for the record - I do not), I'd be too focused on pushing her out a window to enjoy any sexy-fun times.
Would you tell Mina if you had the option?
I think it's a matter of context.
Ian's behavior - both in general and towards Mina in particular - is reprehensible and Mina deserves better. But Ian is genuinely the MC's friend and it sure sounds like he wasn't always like that. He also does seem to care about Mina at least on some level.
That suggests that before the MC spills the beans to Mina, he should at least try to intervene with Ian. Point out his bad behavior in no uncertain terms and see if he can be made to recognize how cruel he's been to Mina and how much he might miss her if and when she finally walks away. Maybe giving Ian some feedback beyond the blatantly misogynistic feedback loop of his day-to-day grind could help.
But yeah, if the MC tries that a few times and it has no effect, then I would certainly stop covering for Ian and probably tell Mina if the opportunity came up. Definitely not going to try anything with Mina after that, though.
