Hi again, fellow Pale Carnations players!
We discussed much about the characters of the game already and it is really fun with these well-developed characters! Big thanks to TD1900 and GIL3D for creating them!
We also discussed much about the possible love interests for the MC. And most of it is naturally based on our own personal life experiences, tastes and convictions, so our "best LI" lists are made up mostly of our personal choices. And that is ok and good. Still, sometimes Edwin´s own life story comes up a bit short in this. Who would be the fitting LI for him, based on his life, not our own lens of his life?
So below I show three "Top 3"(unranked) lists for best LI. The names in brackets are those with potential, but not close to the three at top
The first is my own preference, who I would choose if I had to choose among them.
- Hana, Felicia, Sophia (Mina, Dalia, Rosi)
This second list is a "goodish" Edwin. An MC which tries to be nice, wants to move something with becoming a doctor, is sympathetic to the plights of the Carnations and House girls and just indifferent to those people he does not like. (This has nothing to do with how kinky he likes it in the bedroom, he could be vanilla or ciorrupted)
- Hana, Felicia, Sophia (Mina, Rosi, Veronika)
The third list is the one for a "corrupted" Edwin. He can be a nice person, but at his heart he is indifferent and selfish towards most other persons. He could not care less what the Carnations go through

The translation does not bring across the real meaning of the sentence, there are two nearly untranslatable wordplays/shoutouts in it.By 'getting cucked' I just mean a traumatic life event that causes the main character's personality to do a 180. Very few games show corruption via acclimatization where the MC becomes slowly corrupted because of the environment he is in and not because something tragic/shocking is happening to him.
For games where you are corrupted from the beginning I think my favorite is probably the rance series. For western games I would recommend Hero Party Must Fall.

- Unless you play this game out of the script, because this is your plan from the begining, to punish this fucking asshouls by creating your OWN harem of fucking bitches and truly becoming a Harem King!

Enjoyed the remake of the 2nd. Just deleted Hero Party a few days ago after never playing more than a few minutes. The art style is just too unfappable for me.
Since I play for satisfaction and not for the captivating story I think I prefer MCs who've come to terms with their depravity already and go unapologetic about it all.

Haven't made any posts on this forum before, I usually just lurk. But this is honestly an incredible game and the amount of detail put into not just the models and backgrounds but the relationships and personalities is incredible. Can't wait to see more of this as it develops, the only problem I have with loving the game so much is it makes it harder to wait now lol. Keep up the good work, if dev ever reads this.
Oh nice! I remember this game - it used to be a rags game and I remember playing it a long time ago. Looks like it has switched to renpy now. Glad to see it is still going strong.

It is normally avoidable, your choices have influenence, for instance do not get too deeply involved with Veronika. Helping her (or not) is ok, but if you want to bang her in private, your decision. Don´t be surprised what can happen if you do. It is not a secret she has femdom inclinations.Depending on your definition of Femdom, Dr. Lundgren´s "bits of Chaos" could count as FemDom in a around the corner way.
But the gist is play and choose smart, then you won´t have problems.
Played it years ago. The themes are nice, but its more comedy than dark imo.

Just wanted to write that the quality of this game blew me away, by far the best av game I played.. Ever. Holy hell, I mean I just played through it and I'm still under the impression. But God damn the quality of writing is high. I love the story, the way that it is heading, and how good the characters are written, but I have yet to read any and I mean any scene that portrays intimacy as good as the apartment part of that Hana date. Just chef's kiss. I can't support on patreon cause the of nature of my irregular wages, but if you ever put this on GOG or steam i will buy it in an instance. Preferably through gog, steam are assholes towards game creators, or so i've heard.

They can't sell the game because of copyrights from the render engine (honey select)
Not only that, but we have clear real-life assets, logos, etc. from famous companies in the game. That would be quite a Kuddelmuddel to get the "OK to use" from all of them. How problematic that is, even with less wellknown stuff, can be seen in "Summer´s gone" and "Where it all began". The Dev of both games has "interesting times" with the music licences there.
If you are through with content here: the way intimacy is portrayed in Cosy Cafe reminds me surprisingly often of real life relationships - even if it seems unlikely at a first glance.
The gallery works but the cheats option isn't popping up on the side of my screen. What am I doing wrong?
