Rather, the problem is that you're repeating this mantra after Edwin. Even during the first visit to Felicia's "safehouse", you as a player have the opportunity to say that her motives seem stupid, but he believes in her, or that she's just dumb. Yes, she's taking a risk. But I don't understand what you're trying to bring to the discussion by simply repeating what Edwin has already done many times.

To be fair, characters can and do lie. It's not unreasonable to evaluate independently whether their statements match reality as we see it.
What I find exasperating is that people insist her statements *have* to be lies simply because they disagree with her assessment of the situation. While I would rate the chances of Felicia's plan succeeding as very low (definitely lower than she rates them), it seems obvious that there IS a chance of it succeeding if everything breaks in her favor. We can have a debate about how good her odds are or what alternative options she has if we really want to, but I don't understand why it's so hard to accept that a woman who came from the mud fields to marry one of the country's more eligible bachelors might feel confident she could win over a few Club members if she can just get the right sort of access to them.
The fact that there might be members of the Club who don't respect her membership isn't the right benchmark. The key issue is if there might be members who WOULD respect her should she become a member. Given how Chuck has reacted to her thus far, I think the answer to that question is at least potentially yes. Would that be enough for her? Hard to say without knowing more about what she's planning, but it would give her some resources to work with.
Also, the chief of police is Jim, not Eric.

The thing is, many of patrons there would see Felicia below them because she is a woman. I think even Kathleen said that at some point about her situation.
The only thing going for Felicia as i noticed is Chuck liked her belittling patrons on stage if you go there.

I said already that of course I remember that the Devs have stated in the game (by Edwin's mouth) and also in this thread that the plan is highly improbable and I also said that i'm patiently waiting how the Devs will write themselves out of this situation. I myself do not see any feasible solution how her plan may succeed, but it doesn't mean that the Devs cannot come with some better idea. Presently we have a few explanations (different versions one after another) from Felicia herself as why she joined the competition and all of them sound very dumb. May be she isn't saying all the truth, we will see.
The "beside that" is the key difference:
* a trophy wife arm candy
vs
* a trophy wife arm candy who, unlike every other trophy wife arm candy, is a member of secret club for elites
If you want to pretend it doesn't matter or are incapable of understanding how it changes things then fine, we can simply drop this.
If you genuinely try to understand the difference but it's simply too much for you to grasp, then consider this: is the police chef who is member of this secret club just like any other police chef in the country? Do you think members of this club would be willing to talk about all the illegal shit they're up to with any other police chef just as readily as they're with this one? After all, "being a club member means jack shit" so it shouldn't be any different for them, right?
Frankly, i don't think you'd recognize reasonable even if it climbed your back and pissed all over your head.
