I mostly agree, but there is one curious bit to the conversation: why did Grace bring up learning "everything" from Chuck unprompted? Victoria was at least playing along with Grace up until that point. We don't know the details yet, but given how Vicky reacted it's hard to see how Grace thought this would be productive. Maybe she assumed the mere implication she could blackmail Victoria would bring her into line, but that's a surprisingly dumb thought for someone as supposedly calculating as Grace. It's not like she needed an excuse to casually mention Chuck, Grace made it clear she's perfectly happy to bludgeon Victoria into submission if that's what it takes. So why bring it up before Victoria tried to walk away?
I'm still not sure I understood it completely and the fact that TD wrote it in such a way that we never REALLY got to know WHAT Grace and Vicky were ACTUALLY talking about, makes me think there is more to this anyway. Is Edwin Chuck's son? Has Vicky slept with Ian and he told it Chuck? Is Edwin jumping to conclusions because of his meeting with Donovan that has his mind preoccupied and kinda primed to immediately jump to that, when Vicky seems to start talking about something she did?! I probably interpret too much into it...AGAIN, but I also don't trust TD.

The way I understand the talk between Grace and Vicky is, that Vicky advises Grace to get closer to Ian, while leaving him is space and let him do what he wants. But that is obviously not what Grace wants. She wants to have control, she wants him to go to college and to do that ASAP. So when Vicky starts to walk away, she tries to extort her, but Vicky - apparently - rather comes clean then let herself forced?! If that is the case, Grace failed really spectacularly since that will drive Ian even further away from her and have him choose Vicky over her, I would imagine.

That's a valid point, there is more of a ticking clock with Hana. And as ffive noted, Mina was likely stoned. I still think it's a bit sudden, but not as much as I initially thought.

Thinking about it, the simplest way to explain it might be if Felicia encouraged Mina (deliberately or unknowingly) to make the move on Hana. It wouldn't be too hard to have Felicia see some minor spark between them in the after party (assuming the conditions are met), and it's totally in character to help her protege fan the flames.
That could've worked as well, yes.

Is Edwin Chuck's son?
Edwin (and by extension, Victoria) has met Ian (and by extension, Chuck) at the earliest in mid school some 8-10 years ago. I know Chuck is renowned physicist, but time travel is probably beyond even his abilities.

Not necessarily. Victoria could've very well agreed to Grace's demands, then freaked out later on her own, while getting herself drunk into stupor out of fear Grace might still reveal her secret if the attempt to sway Ian fails, or whatever.

I mean, they could've met earlier. I know that is very unlikely, even though it would put a nice bow around Chuck's interest into Edwin and would make Vicky's apprehension regarding Edwin and Chuck spending time together more understandable.

They could in theory, but like you note this is very, very unlikely. The sort of development that you'd find in Latin soap opera and/or Rose's smut novel, and mock mercilessly for its far-fetched silliness.

Victoria's apprehension is perfectly understandable as it is, if Chuck simply knows she's done porn and she knows that he knows.

As a bit of an aside, I am curious if it makes sense what Grace said. It doesn't seem like Victoria was refusing to help or that Victoria has some special leverage to make Ian comply. It felt like Grace went nuclear for no reason, more to drive drama than anything else. Looking at the scene again, maybe Grace is frustrated with Ian and lashed out when Victoria tried to keep the lie going, like Grace has bigger things on her plate than protecting Victoria's image so she's just going to lash out and call her a whore and demand she help rather than remain civil. So I think I'd like to see more of Grace's total lack of grace in dealing with situations and how that's making her life worse.

Think of it like this:

Grace first mentions Chuck in passing, as if making a point that he's a bad influence on Ian ("you know how he is") after getting impatient and realizing the conversation was not going her way. Maybe she was being tactless and thought that would garner sympathy, maybe she was being cold bitch dumb and thought Victoria's past was a matter-of-fact thing, or maybe she was testing the waters regarding leverage. Either way, she mentions it offhandedly and Victoria is shocked by the insinuation. Sensing the conversation is about to get derailed, Grace tries to get back to what she wants by simply saying "I know", the implication being there's no need to mince words, and demanding they move along. She hasn't overtly threatened anything yet.

Vicky of course gets mad, gets up to leave, and threatens to smack the shit out of her. Then Grace insinuates its in her best interest to help her convince Ian to go to school.

No matter what angle you look at it from, it's a low emotional intelligence move at best and something clinical at worst, but I think it's important to remember the quality of person we're talking about here. Grace was raised by Dr. Chuck and who in turn "raised" Ian. From those two data points alone, you can probably make some assumptions about the fiber of her character. You kinda nail it when you say "Grace has bigger things her plate." It's almost like she doesn't consider Victoria at all and she's shopping for a solution to her Ian problem.

I want to give kudos to authors Mutt and Jeff (TD1900) for this work in general, but especially for this latest update.

I've never felt, while watching a work with porn in it, that I wanted to watch something that is clearly wrong to the point that it turns my stomach.

Even at the beginning of the episode, I didn't know if watching Edwin's mother at work was right, since I saw her as the “mom,” but then I didn't pay much attention to it.

As the episode went on, however, and especially with the final choice, when I chose to watch the video again, my stomach turned, I felt what Edwin probably feels when he sees those scenes.

I had already realized that this story is not just porn, but a journey that leads you to reflect on your own perversions and the sexual relationships you have with others, among other things, and this update confirmed that for me even more.

Now I am waiting for the next update and the next 12.00€ donation to see the third round of Carnations, and I think it will be the most difficult round for all three.

Felicia with her husband present, Rosalind will probably be exposed for the scams committed and Veronica ... well, Kat will come up with something.

Congratulations!

Perfect time to replay the whole game. I wish I could remember every single thing so I wouldn't "cheat" on my first canon run and have the exact same outcome to start into the new update. Renpy needs an option to print out a "choices" sheet or the option to create a personal walkthrough mod. Loading savegames and checking individual variables is a bit too tedious :alien:

TBH I'd be a little bit disappointed if there is nothing more to the Grace/Victoria scene. Blackmailing Victoria just for a chance to convince Ian to go to college? It's not like he'd listen to her every word either, or would he also jump from a bridge if Victoria told him so? But that's probably just wishful thinking
