Yeez your doomed to the most boring and bland woman if a girl like hana has too many "red flags" (i hate this new strange dating terminology so much lol) for you. Or - which is likelier - stay single in your basement for the rest of your life while counting other people's red flags :ROFLMAO:

How many red flags has Ian by the way?:LOL:

Everyone in this story is a walking red flag. That's what makes it fun. :devilish:
As Hana told Edwin (or so): "why aren't you Leatherface?"

:D

Ehh, don't see why this would prevent Hana from being a perfectly good girlfriend. It's not her father you're dating.
Bro, Hana is my favourite. Nonetheless... I wouldn't get involved with a guy like Old Man Auggie.

...I mean, my comment included Edwin and Ian with all their mommy issues and sleeping around, too.

In what world is being the daughter of a gangster and now stakeholder in an (illegal) prostitution ring not something might negatively impact a relationship's health and longevity?

How much impact are we going to have in exactly how dark or light this gets?
I'm not saying there will or will not be happy endings. I just thought it was funny people splitting hairs over wife material in a game where everyone's got more baggage than an airplane.

hey people, I noticed my eyes were a bit tired from reading after last update - I tend to sit pretty far from the screen and font is too small for me.

I played around a bit with GUI values to make bigger text and adjust textbox a bit so it still can fit 4 lines(it should be suitable for the majority of story strings, the longer ones you can see through backlog).

So if anyone ever searches for bigger font in this thread, here you go - toss it in your 'game' folder, removing or replacing the existing gui.rpyc / gui.rpy

I mean yeah for a normal guy i agree :ROFLMAO:

But for a guy actively being a part of said (illegal) prostitution ring the morally upstanding daughter of one of the bosses seems like a pretty good deal.

I would conclude that - when being somewhat of a criminal - the girlfriend being somewhat of a criminal too is healthier for the longterm relationship and longevity compared to a relationship with a innocent girl clueless about the guys job

I think the Hana/Mina route is pretty reasonable, Hana has some morality but is in the business as well, and Mina while naive has some pretty extreme fantasies that she'll be able to explore with the protection of Hana and Edwin. Monogamy really isn't an option for Edwin so a close circle of people who care about each other feels like the healthiest of the options available at the moment.

did the dev ever mentioned what will going on in the "public use"exhibition? would there be any chance that edwin won't share three carnations(or at least keep one)?

I dont disagree and i love Mina (thats why i didnt wanted to talk about the characters in specific :ROFLMAO:), Mina is just very unique

But it could be argued that it would be better (for mina) to not be involved with all this shit but yeah whatever, my Edwin is selflish :WeSmart:

It can very well be an option with the change in club management and with the exhibition done and out of the way. No one says he must fuck the club girls, and any further exhibitions as well as his participation in them (and/or the nature of it) is up in the air.

A relationship with a guy, who works for that prostitution rig and he is also the toyboy for one of these prostitutes (behind the Hana's back).
Fixed.

The story not being a power fantasy where the protagonist ends up as four riders of apocalypse combined isn't bad writing. It's just a story that doesn't align with your desires.

Consider how many stories out there end with the protagonist merely being able to escape the big bad, and counting it as a success. Let alone the ones where the protagonists don't get to live happily ever after.
I dont think you have a single clue what im talking about, where have i said im for power fantasy?
Im curious what you think i said there

What you said:
Yeah they seem untouchable, its like a heaven for them, very hard to believe they get away with it for so long, but surely it wont stay this way forever, sooner or later some shit should go down, if not then i think its bad writing imo
In the context of untouchable people who shouldn't get away with it forever and if some shit doesn't go down [to stop them] it's "bad writing", there's two options for the "shit to go down" -- it's either a result of MC's actions, or it has nothing to do with him. I think it's rather reasonable to read it as a desire for the former option rather than the latter. If nothing else, it's a sentiment quite commonly expressed in this thread by various posters.

If i misinterpreted your, admittedly, somewhat vague post, feel free to clarify what you have actually meant.

Got the first one right, wouldnt you agree its bad writing if they live in heaven forever in this brothel, like a fairy tale with a happy ending.

Saying "shit go down" me emphasizing something should happen soon to start some real drama.

Dont think this sounds like power fantasy at all, quite the opposite

Did any member of the Mutt and Jeff team actually say there will be no polyamorous relationships? The content so far suggests that it's possible with Mina and Felicia. As for Mina and Hana, Hana may need a little work before it happens due to her past experience. Also, depending on future content it could also lead to Veronica and Mina being in a polyamorous relationship too.
Yes, it was stated more than once that you have to choose one special love interest during the game. You can be friends with others. My favourites are Hana, Felicia and (while I know the chance for it happening not being good, but someone has to raise the flag) Sophia.

Is there something in the air this year? Seems to me that everyone is a bit extra salty in the forums that I read here...
Might just be because we're hitting the climax so there's more drama and more dramatic things to talk about.

I mean, there are such a wide variety of interpretations since dev set quite a few* ambiguities on purpose and I think that's always nice to see. As long as everyone is being civil is what counts.

As for MC's future:
I'm not sure how med school is set up in the states, but iirc over here in the northside of the continent the 'students' do residency after 2 years or 3 years (I forget, maybe it was 4 years) and it's paid pretty nicely - as much as most entry level managers in other industries. Supposedly there is clerkship before that as well which might not be paid? tldr, med isn't too much of a money sink and MC can actually maintain a decent relationship during med as long as he toughs out the first few years

However, what kind of intrigues me is the role Abel plays in this story. He has shown to be 'significant' but has very little screen time while having an interest and overlap with MC (was it mentioned he was a new member as well? I can't remember. But if so, I wonder if Chuck actually greenlighted Abel's membership with MC in mind). Look at it this way, if MC stays in the club, a GP in the club is pretty insignificant compared to the known members. A GP, while respected and wealthy, is *nothing* compared to the average power the members hold. Samson (despite worldwide fame, albeit B-list actor level) is considered a 'smallfry'. A local doctor that works at a clinic or even owns a clinic would be an ant in comparison.
