Also, I have feeling that I'm the only one here who want to help Killian's mother without any obligations on her part, as some dirty perverts already imagined for her I still want to steal Mina from Killian (she is too cute to resist), but if we do it and then we fuck his mother, it will be like 2 daggers in the back, which is really cruel, IMO. And I want to repay him for his kindness toward our character.

I'm with you. Killian is the character with the most depth in this entire game. A bullied, meek little kid. Grows up to take his position in the upper echelons of society. Handsome. Rich. Confident. Women, who never gave him the time of day, now flock to him. Mostly for the money. He becomes extremely jaded and cynical in relationships and women. Woman are nothing to him. He can get just about anyone he wants.

But through all this change, he never lost track of his only true relationship. That with the MC, the only one who looked out for him when he was weak. Even though MC kind of grew distant due to his education and separate social spheres they inhabit, Killian was the one who tried hard to keep in touch. When they finally have the chance to reconnect and live in the same world, he is such a genuine bro. There is a stark dichotomy in which he views other people, including his parents, and how he treasures the friendship with the MC. By extension, he treats MC's mom with respect. She was likely a mother figure to him as growing up too. We're not too sure if there is any sexual attraction, but I don't think so. She is the woman that showed affection, unlike his own parents.

Then comes Mina. This bubbly energizer bunny who exudes positivity. I think Killian feels that she is different. She isn't in it for the money. He still can't exactly change his deep rooted cynicism about love, but given time, she could definitely change him.

That's where I come in. The player. Mina is too fucking cute, so I do want to bang her at least. But I will feel way too horrible doing my bro like that. So I give myself some wiggle room. I don't ever talk shit about Killian or sabotage the relationship. But I can't help it if my hand slips a little while hugging her in a totally platonic way. Kissing her in the heat of the moment, because it was just acting practice, right? I promise... I'm not trying to be an asshole who steals his best friend's girl, but maybe some mutual feelings might develop without us even knowing! Cough... maybe we can get Killian's blessing if we are on good terms. Hell, maybe a very wholesome devil's triangle would be enough to sate my appetite. There are other girls to play with. I wouldn't mind if Mina and Killian end up being a lovely couple. After I get a taste that is.

The fact that this type of immersion and roleplaying is possible is a testament to how great the writing is. It's not too common for such complex relationship dynamics to be portrayed without much inconsistencies in character motivations and actions.

I largely agree, but Killian does implicitly lump Mina in with the girls who are in it for his money.


I do think it's possible Ian has genuine affection for Mina, because he does show a little shame for the way he treated her if you call him on it during Never Have I Ever. But even if he does see something genuine in her, he's going to need help to recognize and nurture it to the point it can overpower his inflated cynicism. He's been stewing in an environment that indulges all his worst impulses for the last couple years. It's going to take a pretty hefty one-two punch to break through that barrier change the way he sees the world.

The MC and Mina might be able to pull it off, assuming the MC wants to. That's what I'm aiming for, but wow I'm running low on Killian Romance points. Curse my MC's manly muscles!

Lol I just read the shitshow from the last couple pages. How does someone misinterpret literally everything about the characters and plot? That patronizing review edit is a cherry on top.

Some people are so caught up in porn logic, that when presented with a rare script that humanizes the characters, they simply cannot understand the interactions. Sometimes I wonder how these people even function in society. Insisting that growing up without a father should make you the "man of the house" lmfao. It's like they have no grasp on basic human interactions outside of porn.

Learn to actually see the games for what they are. I like porn tropes as much as the next guy for some mindless fapping, but shitting on a game for not following porn logic is next level stupid.

Even though Veronica is my least favourite carnation she's also possibly the most interesting one and I do appreciate her pragmatism and cold logic (and some might like her bi-polar/tsundere attitude). Can't wait to see her in action and I especially like the fact we'll get different content depending on our earlier choice. Very few erotic games do that right and PC is the best among them.

Dev Diary 17

Hey all, TD here with another developer diary.

Currently, we're at 1003 images and 30 animations.

Things are still chugging along with Veronica's portion of the update and it's turning out pretty spick and span if I say so myself. It opens up with a small branching sequence, dependant on an earlier choice to take Mina with you to the gym or not. I mention this because, while I imagine most people are on the Mina gym path, the solo path has some pretty spiffy animations of Veronica working out that you might want to check out if you're a fan of hers. I'm happy to be hammering away at this portion of the update because in my opinion, of all the Carnations, she's in the most dire need for one-on-one screen time with the player character.

If things keep unfolding at this pace, this may be in contention for our most sizable update in terms of images and line count. We still have a good bit of work ahead of us: finishing out the Veronica stuff, the Felicia mission with her husband and some one on one time with her, and some miscellaneous stuff that might surprise you. I had personally hoped and expressed as much that this update would come out faster than the last, but since we're now just a little over two months out from Ch3Up1, it is safe to say that is shot.

I hope you'll find the coming update to be a satisfying amalgamation of perversion and sentimental, heart-to-heart moments. As always, thank you for your patronage to our project.

P.S. Thank you for all the well wishes for my father. He's gotten stronger and it looks like he may come home from the hospital sometime in the next few days.

From the numbers, it looks like they completed 327 static images and 3 animations since May 5. That translates to about 176.1 statics and 1.6 animations per week. Overall, that brings the average productivity to about 103 statics and 3.1 animations so far. I also have charts.

As you can see, the static render rate is way up and the animation rate is noticeably down this time. Based on what the diary said we're still a ways out from release, which suggests the animation total is not going to be substantially lower than in Update 1. Hard to say much more than that for certain though.

As a big Veronica fan I'm definitely excited to see her scenes; it will be very interesting to see how Veronica reacts to the MC after whatever he did to her in the exhibition. I'm even more curious to see how she'll react to whatever he has her do this time. It feels like Veronica's path should be a very slow one, and trying to make her feel shame (or at least a suitably optical shame substitute) will be a delicate balancing act. I have so many questions! Sadly, I just have to wait and be patient.

In the meantime, I'm also very glad to hear TD's father is doing better. Hope that trend continues!

Awesome so far, really... great and unique look, all the renpy games a kinda looking the same, some more polished than others, but most of the time lookalikes models and the enviroentment is often the same too in many games. But this is looking way different, in a very good way.

The story kicked in very fast and gets me from the start... And the charactres are great, not to simple sterotype, everybody has some interesting parts to tell and to discover. And all are very different... very nice writing here.

The Animations are decent (could be better, good enough, but honestly i can live without them if they are not complex, dont need them like this in the game)

Im curious where this will be heading, i kinda like developing relationships between the MC and girls that i like... hopefully there will be some serious lovestory going on. (didnt play through so far, dont know how long its last, but im at the day of the first official exebithion)

I liked it so much that im a patreon now... keep it up, and if the updates are coming in a good amount of time i will stay a patreon and maybe upgrade the membership!

The ones in my signatures, Rise of the White Flower and Shattered, are quite good story driven games too.
There is also Now & Then, Where it all Began (better wait for the remake), Long Live the Princess, City of Broken Dreamers, Futadom World, Become a Rock Star, Heavy Five, Exiles, Dog Days of Summer. They all are different mixes of genres and fetishes.

There are more but i am kinda sleepy right and can't remember right now.

Ha, this is my dilemma as well. It was really a lot easier when he was just looking like a straight up douche early on. The whole bit with him throwing you a birthday party and inviting Hana (which was a super cool move) has really made me question making moves on Mina.

(Ah, who am I kidding. I still did the first chance I got. But ... I felt a bit bad about it!)

He obviously doesn't really care about her though. Maybe we'll be able to help him realize he should set her free instead of just stabbing him in the back. (Though if we need to stab him in the back to see those scenes you can bet your ass I'm going to do so)

I'm slapping on an older comment I made, but I'll note some that I specifically like for their writing. Note that mediocre writing is kind of where I draw the line ('No D&D is better than bad D&D', they say), so none of the ones listed should at least strike you with bad writing. Callisto is probably the weakest writing-wise off the top of my head, probably the weakest entry overall, but other than that I think all entries here have, at the very least, alright writing.
