Oh you'll see.
He's got to create tension SOMEHOW. And I'm gonna hate it.
I think the danger is that Hana would come to enjoy running the club. That's more than sufficient drama. Making her a house girl is merely an extremely unpleasant experience than can be endured and ended. Marring Hana's very
soul is a lot more serious.
You know, if we didn't have that scene with Pulman and her goon complaining about not being able to "discipline" Hana because she is the boss' daughter and then Pulman saying "there is always a way", maybe that argument would hold. That scene is way too much foreshadowing that Pulman is planning to mess Hana up, and all that talk about the shares and more "girl power" in management is either a diversion to nudge her into a rational train of thought to accept falling into the trap or a welcome side effect if it works that way in the end.
It's not impossible, but I think that would be a stretch. Hana is always going to oppose an external influence on her life, she's just ornery that way. But it's a very different thing to oppose internal influences. That's why Kathleen was so insistent on making this idea seem reasonable from Hana's point of view.
Hana only gets the shares if she takes an active role in running the club, and the club is inherently corrupting. If Hana has no stomach for it, she'll be forced to leave and thus be out of Kathleen's hair. But if she can stomach it, then it will be Hana who has to keep *herself* in line rather than Kat and Warren constantly riding herd on her. Either way, Kat wins.
Sure, if an opportunity comes up to get Hana involved in the exhibition I'm sure Kathleen will take it. But while I think that's Warren's big desire, Kathleen seems more interested in preventing Hana from doing something stupid while also giving herself a decent chance at gaining control of the club in the long term. Low risk, high reward.
Just because she's a twisted sadist doesn't mean Kathleen can't prioritize.
Sure but the writing is decent and it seems like the dev tries quite hard to make the characters act somewhat reasonable so I don't really buy the "it's just a game" excuse.
When it comes to Minas revenge I think we can either
1. let Feli have a go at it, which Killian is going to LOVE and maybe encourage Mina to shoot some more movies with other girls or
2. co-star ourselves and have the Bromance rating take a nosedive
though I'm not so sure about the impact on the bromance rating since he doesn't seem to have much of a problem with sharing so far.
As far as Hana's actions in Update 2, I think her grinding the MC is in keeping with their previous relationship: it only happens if the two are already intimate and spend another night together, so it doesn't need to lead to anything more. The issue is with the sudden jump to full-on sex the next morning. That's where I think the relationship advanced faster than it probably should have, possibly to set up the big cliffhanger. We'll know more when we see where the MC and Hana pick up the next time they meet, but my money is on Hana walking things back to a more ambiguous status.
For Mina, I can't see her leaping to have sex with the MC and/or Felicia purely out of spite. I can certainly see her *thinking* about it, and the right sort of MC could certainly encourage her (and probably succeed, eventually). But in the immediate future, honestly, I'd assume it was more of a joke if it wasn't the cliffhanger; feels like more of a bait and switch to be a joke at that point. So given that is WAS the cliffhanger, I think she'll probably focus on something risque but well short of sex; the MC can either try to talk her out of it, or accept and plant the seeds for even more in the future.
On that note, I was wondering about her extra stat,
What is it directed at? Do we want it higher or lower?
Well, Hana loses a point if she sleeps with the MC on his birthday, and gains a point if we frame taking ownership of the Club in terms of money. I'd say Hana's Anger is an indication of her compulsion to lash out at other people. Consider this line:
To me, it suggests Hana's anger is the manifestation of the anxiety her mother's condition (and August's general dickery) has put her in. If the MC doesn't help her find a way to diffuse it, it will instead build up and encourage Hana to take it out on other people - those who deserve it... or those who can't defend themselves from it.
Not to go all prequels on us, but I suspect Hana's Anger can lead to suffering.
