Well, when that story started it was quite promising, there was some kinky stuff and a nice story, but now it has turned into a classic harem story where the MC tries to help everyone and fuck every girl.
With this last update there was not much interesting, a sexy photoshoot that was supposed to be scandalous !!!
The love story with Hanna, Mina lame love/cuckhold story with Ian, the MC trying to be the good guy helping those poor women, all this was quite annoying compared to the previous stuff.
And worse now we have the Mafia, my god gangsters showing up , everytime there is some of that stuff in such a game it becomes a mess.

Sierra Lee, who has a few projects under her belt, is also worth a mentioning. The writing in The Last Sovereign is the perfect example of letting your setting, themes, and characters speak for themselves in my opinion. It all feels very natural.

This is true. Argue all you want about themes, images etc. For my money the best writing on this site is from PC, Karlsson's Gambit, and Sierra Lee. And writing gets me super interested every time

Felicia certainly is a gold-digger and trophy wife. Certainly a "slut" (but really this is still a porn game, all the women will be "sluts"). That's what she was first presented as. Some people seem to judge her for that and refuse to see anything past that. Which also mean they aren't taking the options to learn more about her. Which is fine I guess, not everyone needs to like every character. But she certainly isn't one dimensional if you actually care to look.

What we don't know though is who in their marriage started to cheat first. Could as well be that Felicia started out faithful until she found out her husband was banging anything that moves and wouldn't grant her any more than her trophy wife allowance. We know from banging her in the latest update that she certainly didn't indulge in all of her kinks or just couldn't find anyone with whom to indulge.

I've managed to play through what I think is most of the update. Overall, I liked it despite the flagrant lack of Veronica. It has shades of the problems that plagued Update 2 (in particular some fundamental disagreements between me and the options available to the MC), but I feel like the problems were isolated and there's more to sink my teeth into this time. We also get a heaping helping of the usual excellent graphics. The end result is a pretty solid outing leading us into the end of Week 2.

I'll try to go into more detail, but be warned it gets a little long.

So I think that covers the highlights. As I said, I liked this update and there's a lot I'm looking forward to, but most of that will probably be in Week 3. The Exhibitions themselves are rather intense for my taste so I'm not quite as eager for Update 4, but you can't appreciate the light without the dark, right?

tl;dr A little heavily slanted towards depravity, but still a great look into Felicia and Mina with some fun side bits.

Did you perhaps install oscar's walkthrough mod? I ask because that is out of date and won't be updated, and as such, the files you replace will cause you to not being to advance past the end point of ch3up1.

No problem. (I'm apparently out of likes for today)

But as TD said, and based on my own past experiences, this sounds a lot like you're using an old mod version with a new game version, so you'd have to completely delete the game folder and "install" it fresh.

Oh, and keep in mind, some mods really fuck with game variables so even using old modded saves can frequently result in a game constantly spewing errors at you. I haven't experienced this with PC, but I have with others.

Sorry, I can't check myself at the moment, but could you explain a little more about this bug?

Sure. Say that you have 150 pages of saves, but the one you want to load is on page 149. If you hit Continue it takes you to the most current save page of 150. You hit the arrow to the left of the A it doesn't go to page 149 as it should . . . or so I thought. I just discovered playing around with it now that it's not as broken as I thought. You just have to click in the blank space a little to the right of the left arrow to make it work. If you try to click directly on the arrow, though, it doesn't do anything.

If I had one complaint, it would be that the MC seems a little too predisposed to bullying Mina rather than having the option to treat her as an equal.

I think you pointed out an interesting point, taught to be good / inherited to be good. MC, in my point of view, is an example of "taught to be good". No matter which background you chose for the MC (voyeur, firestarter or slippery hand), introducing such a background at the beginning of the story did convince me that MC prolly is a natural-born troublemaker (in a general sense) by emphasizing this as one of the three important background pieces out of MC's 20 years of history. Plus the monologue right at the very beginning of the game of how MC trying to convince himself that he is "decent" by pointing out he is a pre-med student, calling mom twice a week etc. It really put a "huh" regarding MC's true nature.
Although it pains me a little of how Mira is being handled by MC in the sex scene, it is strangely quite in line of what I thought the MC would do in this situation, especially after being exposed to the drug from von Doom to "awaken the beast" so to speak.

For people like me who are interested in trying to pull Killian out of his assholish ways and make him a better person, it feels like we really missed an opportunity here to get into just why Mina gave Ian so much rope and what exactly she wants to do abut him going forward.

I did have the same question as well. But then I realize Mira is still trying to identify herself, which is hinted when she admitted she sometimes felt distance with the responses she gave out. I guess she just doesn't truly understand herself in order to make such a decision.
I did have a friend had a similar situation, his SO does raise tons of red flags, and despite of everyone said "just break up with that toxic sludge", he just say "huh.... I don't know...." He gave me a feeling that he wasn't blinded with love or something, he just didn't know what to feel and hence, produce an appropriate response to the situation.
In my head, if Mira is asked what does she like about Killian, I think the first sentence that comes out of her mouth would be "I don't know" then followed by "He is good looking and he is my 1st BF" XD

Speaking of MC's true nature. He was saved by his mother when MC was a kid and become a "decent" adult till the story began. As the subtopic pointed out, motherly love is one of the main focus of this game, I wonder if the future plot requires she to save MC once again and pull him out of this hell hole which is Pale Carnation.
