I honestly never thought the Carnations were love interests in the first place. Figured it was just Hana and Mina that were love interests. So never even crossed my mind that it "might" be NTR in any sense.

Even then, how would you expect a relationship with one of the Carnations to last, long term? After all this is over, do you really think you can just settle down with one of them? Even just being friends? The MC's face is going to remind them of this every time they see it, and all the things they went through. Long term, that just won't be healthy, and won't last. It would be a doomed relationship.

Thus why I never thought they were love interests to begin with. I could maybe see a friendship (no relationship) with Felicia lasting since she wants to be part of this, but Vero and Rosa? No way. The MC would just be a bad reminder of it all.

Given that there are paths, I think it's all optional to some degree. I don't look at any of the five women as love interests. I certainly don't want to end up romantically entangled with any of them.

I don't treat BSS sub genre (but i liked her first) as proper NTR setup. And in general, if relationship survives and B stays with A and prefers A keeps despising C then what the fuck is getting stolen? How is B getting taken away in that scenario? It's just cheating. "Audience feels bad so it's NTR" approach is why we have this problem here in the first place. But I am not gonna argue on this any further. I see your point still I disagree with your conclusion.

In the example of Bezerk, her memories were stolen and her mind was stolen, a reaction gained through proper build up. If the romantic relationship between the two wasn't first established as well as the friendship with Griffith then the betrayal wouldn't have cut so deep. The overall point is more so that NTR actually has nothing to do with Sex. It's literally a plot device. It just so happens that this plot device happens to work very well with adult literature.

And again it does not actually apply to this game.

As far as if the carnations are love interests or not, i could see them all as love interests and if that is the path you ngo as MC, then it's up to you to ensure their victory and for you to protect them as much as possible. Personally I like all of the characters and have a path dedicated to all of them and some I'm attempting to do in groups.

NTR isn't a fetish, it isn't even a genre, it's simply a plot device that's used to evoke an emotional reaction. If an unintended emotional reaction is evoked, chances are it still isn't NTR but rather instead someone whom just can't handle Adult based themes and lives far from reality. If the intention is to cause a reaction and it doesn't, then it's likely shitty writing, not actually NTR or so mind numbingly stupid that it literally hurts to think about.

I'm pretty, pretty sure that most of the players here want to escape reality for a few hours instead of being confronted with it. For a couple of years, movies were considered awesome, deep and influential, when the ending was a physical and mental breakdown for the main characters. Good thing, that trend ended.

What are the highest and lowest toughness checks in the game? The first walkthrough indicates you need at least 20 toughness points to see some Chad Edwin action but that's about all I can deduce from that file. The initial toughness is 13 so I'm guessing those lowest toughness checks (if they exist) should be somewhere between 7 and 10.

It's mostly dialogue variations. The MC will use more abusive language at higher toughness, but there aren't many actual game-changing toughness checks. I think the highest checks currently are 24+ but haven't gone through everything to check (and haven't played the public release of this version).

Last but not the least, what is your the inspiration of this? Thanks some just curious on how the game devs thinks when creating this kind of + do u like memes on games or eastereggs?

Yeah, I just liked porn games. From the old flash games on Newgrounds, to all those crappy RPGM games in the mid 00s, and throw in a decade of reading eroge and I just always wanted to make one. I had no other previous experience to speak of, besides knowing what I liked and what I believed worked in VNs. Well, I did spend a couple years making comics using HS, but I don't do the visual side of things for this project.

That is correct, but there are a few situations where the varying toughness level have more influence on Edwins story. AFAIK if your thoughness is 30+, then many of the normal and nice choices are disabled, because you are on the fast lane to become like your "mentor" Kath. This has influence on more than one person´s relationship points with you.
18+ Toughness in another point, because this is where you have most options available. You are considered "mischievious" by the game, possible to be going into both directions. But be careful, you can quickly tumble into one direction or the other, small changes can tip the scale for you.
Below 10 points most "Chad" or "Asshole" choices are disabled, which also has influence on how your Edwin´s story goes on. If you have this low toughness, you should be really on the road to help the Carnations and Hana with the Club.

But generally there are trends what influences your toughness score. e.g. If you are playing a nice, helpful Edwin, your toughness score should not rise all that high, mischievious the most.
