I hate to break it to you but potential is all you're going to get.
If you have been playing this since the original game you know that, as it never took off. The dev is good at picking models and making renders, but when it comes to a story it remains disjointed and rather poor. Oh and the music is rather nice.
If you can deal with that low quality of story, then there is a lot of good renders to enjoy, but don't get your hopes up. It's been years now and nothing has changed, so why would it now.

I liked the first game and I'm enjoying this second chapter too, but the updates are like 3 minutes long now. At this pace, when the game will be over it will be possible to finish it in an hour or so.

Well, Ellie became my favorite character as soon as she got introduced, and it's a good thing that the dev took his time before finally giving her the D.

Though, I'm kind of surprised how little of an event that was. Ellie herself doesn't even remark that she just gave her first time to an old bastard she never met just to stay on the good side of a guy giving her money for her mother. She was more hesitant blowing her first guy.

The game says many times that Ellie is virgin before sex with the old man. And Ellie not super strong but clever and she is not unscrupulous slut in this monent.
Some emotions (not necessarily crying) - sign of normal healthy people in this situation - she is not a robot or doll. Вesides, Ellie was more hesitant blowing a school guard.
