I'm currently stuck, not being able to advance anywhere. Sometimes Kyra's dialogue seems to be new, but it's just repeating, and Kylie never changes what she says no matter what I choose. I tried following the hints, even changing the game speed at times to see if something is different, yet nothing changes.
I've read that people tend to just choose every option on green tags, but I just can't continue.

Could someone help me out?

There are some gates that required choosing every possible option and seeing the results. There are also gates that require progress with others before you can advance the one you want. Your issue is really weird. It's like you're waiting for something to be played to trigger, but the option never comes up. I did get a memory for Jolee in the evening using the mouth option rather than face(ask) or face(don't ask) options. But it didn't change anything. I think I went through just about every event for every person and all options...

The only thing I can see that might be an issue is you have the game speed set to 'very fast'. As I recall, there could be some issues with events working correctly in a faster game speed.

Maybe someone else could look at this who can see what the save info is saying?

Thanks for looking into it. Again, I only tried to change the speed settings because the Hints section said it could possibly help, but it didn't, so I probably forgot to set it back to default. Maybe someone knows what the next flag or action should be, so I can just manually edit the save file, but I'd be surprised if anyone has that sort of knowledge easily accessible apart from the dev.

I think I've found the reason. Looks like a bug with a flag. Have you edited the save file?

I'm trying to work it out. But damn, I have to dig through code I haven't looked at in years, trying to backtrack how everything works. Took me a minute just to find the file where the events are handled :HideThePain:

Finally, deep in the code, I found my old comments about a couple of similar bugs in v0.10 and v0.12. My best guess then was that it has to do with changing game speed after playing certain events, but I gave up on figuring out why since it proved difficult and the bug was so rare. Think you're the third ever to report a bug related to this. Not even gonna try to fix it now. Took me 2 hours just to find the comments :poop:

Here is a fixed save. Advance to the next day and things should continue.

Damn, many thanks for the help, works perfectly. Sorry for making you look into it! I'll just play on normal speed now, I guess.

I played it years ago, so I remembered the start a bit and thus changed the speed, but at the end it made me slower because of the bug...

Just wanted to say for people reading that, generally, playing with faster speed should not be a problem. Changing the speed back and forth, now that could cause bugs if you're unlucky.

The bug in question (probably) only happens with certain, relatively rare events that you must play more than once. So if someone plays such an event the first time, and then change the speed to faster before playing the event again to complete it, it may bug a flag for that event.

I think this is when the bug happens, I just found it hard to fix because the code handling all that is quite complex. I did try to fix it in v0.12, doing a "I hope this works" fix, but obviously it wasn't good enough since you had a similar bug again. The bug is rare because there are not many of these events, and it's only in that window until you complete it that the bug can happen if you raise the speed.

What is better with Paradise Found, in your opinion?
imo this is the best real porn game on the site. Even tho the overall quality of the UI and coding in Monastery is much better, the content and fetishes are just not that interesting. Don't really care to read a 100k word mystery novel when I wanna look at porn and just having 4 formulaic sex scenes with random nuns just aint interesting to me. Just my two cents.

I don't think you can do much. Both are different games and genres. The plot itself doesn't give me will to play (just my opinion), if it was a school I would think twice, but still a different environment. The art (yes I know it's also real porn, just not having a better word) also doesn't appeal much to me.

I'll be blunt, I discovered Paradise Found due incest, but the environment was nice, the actresses chosen fit the game, and has a nice corruption nuance. The only bad thing imo is not having pregnancy (or at least a focus on the risk itself to get pregnant), along with the ending being a bit abrupt. But as I mentioned, the corruption increase was well done, and while I like games with incest, many tend to fail with that kind of content, they can't focus on the confliction of the taboo. Being family members for the sake of being family members isn't necessarily a good thing, and it needs something to make the player hooked into the game, without simply thinking "yeah this wouldn't ever happen in real life", and this game delivers that pretty well, with some minor exceptions of course.

Also, I'm sad that I can't get used to Java engine at all, since I sometimes try to mod a game here and there for my taste. But I always hit the wall with Java, unlike Ren'py and html.

I have nothing against the monastery, and it seems a polished game for those who like it, but it just doesn't grab my attention. Or it is theme, or the "art", or the "environment", I don't know. I don't think it is a bad game by any means, just doesn't appeal me. Is like someone liking League of Legends, while other person likes Counter Strike. If there are better scenes included, then I would recommend you adding other previews, because at the time I've played I didn't find them anything special, but again, just my personal opinion. If I grab time I may try again to see if the new content pleases my tastes, but if it goes along what's on the OP then I probably won't.

Looking forward for your next game though, even if Monastery isn't my cup of tea, I loved Paradise Found, and that's an accomplishment taking into account that I hate Java.

Guessing you can't avoid using a pill on Kylie during the whole 'finals week' part despite him saying he could wait for them to be over?

If the event trigger happens during that timeframe, no. Because I don't think there's an alternative path for anyone.
