For some reason the game will pull up and work just fine but none of the images appear. I don't know what going on. (I think I should mention that the intro images appear, but none of the images of people)

Do I need to tell the therapist the truth to progress through the game? I thought for a second that if I lied to her I could drug her too but it seems that isn't the case.
You do eventually get to drug her, TankH04, but it might be a while to wait. At least, in my playthrough it felt like a long time coming before it happened.
I was gonna say that the choice to lie or tell the truth doesn't affect progress, only the flavor text, but I'm suddenly not so sure of that. Perhaps the reason it took so long for me was that I was following the wrong approach. So if you don't make progress by lying to her, maybe you should try telling her the truth.

I also think it's mostly flavor regarding lying to Angela. However, I've never played the lying side, so the only place I can think where it might have an affect is later in the game...

This is a weird one. I played this game once already, and I don't remember having many problems. I started playing it again today, and I'm getting a weird thing where SOME of the scenes don't show (black space in the graphics window) ... but not all of them. And NOT ALWAYS THE SAME IMAGES/VIDS either. Sometimes a scene will play with one transition image missing, the next it'll be a whole segment of a scene, next time all are back except a different one.
Anyway, any ideas?

That sounds like the problem I end up having when I fast click through scenes. The Java client doesn't seem to like that, and so sometimes will just not load videos. Usually still images will keep showing. Sometimes continuing to fast click will flip it back to playing everything, sometimes I have to close the game and relaunch.
