Since this is through Java and doesn't have any modding support I think you would have to do it through hex editing which is (imo) a fucking nightmare. Is it possible to make a translation into another language?

Just make posts everywhere else but there, and they can eat a dick. Patreon is a POS. Have you tried any other sites like but not Patreon?Just an update on my situation - the Patreon support said they probably will keep me on as long as I'll remove all the mentions of the game from my profile. So I basically cleaned it, deleted all the posts, and we'll see. Stay tuned.
The beta was planned for Sept 5-10. I'm a little behind schedule now, but it should be out in a few days.Is everything alright? 8 september now. Where s the new update?
All good, we get that it takes time to make something... anything, especially a game. The beta was planned for Sept 5-10. I'm a little behind schedule now, but it should be out in a few days.
Very true, friend. I'v seen that shit many times. Any developer become more lazy, cus every creator need something new to do his job. Projects getting old and uninteresting for those.Just please don't become one of those devs who declare 'monthly updates' but later they become 'a month +5 days' then '+10 days' then '+ a couple of weeks because [new-reason-every-month]' then 'a month for development and a month polishing + 1 day so Patreon can process the pledges' and then poof they transform into Gumdrop or, best case scenario, Icstor.
Please don't.
I think Icstor claimed he was burned out? It has happened to many devs and I can understand why. I'm trying to prevent that from happening to me, that's why the extra days to rest. Remember that in the beginning I released new updates once every two months (no set dates just releasing whenever I felt ready with the update). I felt that was too seldom so I changed it to once a month, aiming for the 1st every month. That meant the content per update was smaller, but not half the amount because I didn't want to make the updates too small. So I worked harder, with less rest, bascially working on the game every day, to put out those monthly updates. It worked well for a couple of updates but in the end it became too draining, taking the enjoyment out of it and that's not sustainable (see beginning of this post). When you get the warning signs you need to rest. I could go back to the early way of doing it once every two months, but that still feels too seldom so I'm adding a few days rest now to see how it works. I enjoyed working on v0.8, so it's looking good so far.Just please don't become one of those devs who declare 'monthly updates' but later they become 'a month +5 days' then '+10 days' then '+ a couple of weeks because [new-reason-every-month]' then 'a month for development and a month polishing + 1 day so Patreon can process the pledges' and then poof they transform into Gumdrop or, best case scenario, Icstor.

With the amount of games out there, it's hard to come up with a name that is both descriptive and memorable (and that the dev feels good about). A title like "Paradise Corruption" might help catching some views in the games list, but as far as being memorable it sounds pretty generic and easily forgettable. My idea with "Paradise Found" was a word play on "Paradise Lost", which I thought could be memorable, coupled with the fact that the name of the city is Paradise. Of course, if "Paradise Lost" doesn't mean anything to you, the memorable thing about it decreases.I notice that I usually forget the name of this game and have to search this game by filtering for Java and picking it out of the crowd.
Then I realized that "Paradise Found" is not a very relevant title for this game as it doesn't convey the substance or plot at all. The title should've had something related about amnesia and/or slipping pills to girls in some way so that it would be more relevant and memorable.
People that read the title while scrolling through the available games would have no idea what type of game it would be and might even suspect that it would be a very simple "Paradise wish fullfilment" game that are common in the real porn category.
Maybe it's already too late to change the title for this game (I don't know how far away it is from completion) but if you decide to make a next title make sure to make it relevant to the actual game as it would make your game more noticeable and also more enticing to people that are attracted to the concept. For example if the title was "Paradise Corruption" and someone was scrolling through the games and interested in the corruption type of games like this it would catch their eyes more quickly.
You could go the Japanese route and have a full paragraph as the game title. With the amount of games out there, it's hard to come up with a name that is both descriptive and memorable (and that the dev feels good about). But the name just felt right, so I decided on it. I usually find it very challenging to name things, so when I come up with something I'm pretty happy to take it and move on.
Anyway, it's too late to change it now, I would say.
