There has been a Chinese and at least one Russian translation started, but as far as I know, none has come very far and I don't think any of them are still worked on. It's a lot of work.

No, and in hindsight, maybe I should have, but it never occured to me. Later, after the game had been released for a year or something, I spent a few days working on implementing it after people were interested in doing translations, but I scrapped it because it would require too much work.

if you experience video problems to do with stuttering then just run Paradise Found.exe with the -Dprism.order=sw argument.

So, I inputted the usual mom and sister in the intro but it still said 'the rent your Mom charges you is paid for by the cruise company'.
Is this line supposed to be here, like it doesn't make sense for the mom to charge her kid rent.
I know some do, but it just takes out the immersion and was wondering if it was a bug and only happening for me.

FWIW, parents charge their over eighteen year old kids rent all the time.

Are you playing the completed v1.0? Because I can't even find this line anywhere in the code, but it's been ages so I might have missed it. Where exactly is this? Can you give the full description of what it says in that screen (or screenshot)?

It is the latest version 1.0.04. sry I couldn't get back sooner, didn't have access to my PC. Some unsolicited advice, just look over the whole intro, even before you input mom or sister it says you stayed with your landlady, it really takes out of the immersion with that landlady's daughters are also lawyers crap, just rework the intro , only if your schedule permits it ofc I know you're busy with the Monastery, great job on that by the way excellent game.

In your original message you said paid by the cruise company not stipulated by the settlement. The meaning is the same, but since it was a different wording I wondered where you found it. So yes, I know about that wording and it is as it should be.

As mentioned by others, paying to stay at your parents' house when you're an adult (and earn money) is not uncommon. Why should your parents give you everything for free when you're an adult and can contribute?

Ultimately, the real reason that intro is written as convoluted as it is is because of Patreon rules and stuff. It is very intentionally written.
