You have to place the "ipatch.rpy" file in your "Parasite Black\game" directory.
(dialog, mouse over text and relationship description should be changed now)

Note:
To see the changes to their relationship entries (Sister / Mother instead of Friend) I had to start a new game.

Also, I'm getting game over and its not even day two of the storyline. Forgot to save often so I have to restart all over again in this case, at the medical ward smh. Ran into a bandit and because I want exp I decided to fight it. Did the same with Demorai with an axe whos a bit scary, so I transformed which jack my infection up. Any guide or tips/tricks for this game? The walkthrough at the front page seem to be waaay outdated (0.2.5_4). I guess avoid fighting in the map and focus on doing quest for the first few levels levels up and stuff. Only fight when the quests says so (e.g. farming ore for Drax)? Not transform unless the mooks are tough? Yeah I'm lost here. Help is welcome.

Yeah, URM is a general search, not for this thread specifically.

As far as combat tips go, the game tells you outright, you mainly gain experience from quests and sex scenes. You also gain experience from combat, but it's once per encounter type. So if you fought 2 Bandits and a Thug and won, any time you run into that same combination in the future, they provide no exp, only drops.

Anyway, tips. Markus has no infection penalty on transformation, and can easily carry you through the early fights. Transforming yourself is usually not a good idea until you have reliable ways to lower the infection quickly (more of a thing later). Aside from that, equipment actually makes a big difference. The swords you get by default suck ass, and once you replace them, life gets a lot easier. You can change equipment for any party member too, so don't forget to outfit them as well.
Items can be spammed as much as you want, so I recommend stocking up on potions, or just cheating them into your inventory if you don't feel like grinding. Also, one of the girls you unlock early on (Nijah), once her quest is progressed enough, will sell you powerful healing items for cheap.
You also get two more companions as you progress through the story, so that makes life easier the further you go.
Also, get both yourself and Markus 10 Strength and 8 Agility ASAP, that allows you to unlock the Flailing Strikes skill, which deals a ton of damage to all enemies, and applies an accuracy debuff on them. Best skill in the game so far.

My journal is empty and nothing triggers when I explore the city but I feel like there’s more content? How to know? This game needs a walkthrough and I don’t mean the one in the first page because that’s useless.

I have put the file in the game directory but it still doesn't work.

I'm not talking about gems you find on enemies. I'm talking about the ore from gem mines. There should be a way to break them down into gems to sell but maybe it's not in the game yet.

You can encounter mining locations (marked with a pickaxe) if you travel to different places. The type of ore you will find is random though (raw gems, copper, iron & syax ore). In order to mine ore, you have to buy the right pickaxe from Novaras Smithy.

I wondering what to do with them myself. I'm looking forward to mining Syax.
