do i need to buy some tools or what?
For animal hides you just need to kill animals in random encounters on the map, specifically the ones with an animal symbol. They don't show up everywhere and every time, I think I found most of them on trips to the lake and back.
Leather you get when you take the hides for processing to the leatherworker woman.

When "Travelling" at the "animal encounter" spot you can run into animals; those drop skins. You can then go bring them to the tanner. For deer hunting specifically iirc you need Agility to catch it, but no tools or anything.

It's not particularly balanced so at least for me it really didn't feel worth specifically bothering with all that much.

Anyway; this is as good as any point to write up some short impression. Previous version I played was 0.146 in 2023; if that's actually true. I liked it then and I like it now: I like the setting, I like the characters, generally I like the art, and for the most part the writing too. By and large I like the ideas of the gameplay as well.

But compared to two years ago I'm surprised the game doesn't feel particularly more cleaned up. If anything, I didn't remember quests triggering so chaotically after the Prologue as they did now. The travel mechanic doesn't feel particularily balanced with anything; inventory/equipment management is still bad (especially having the same item equipped to different characters). The stat and skill system feels rather bad (I'd advocate for just having the character level up linearly - you aren't going to turn this into a RPG with proper build variety at this point so make one good linear level-up path instead). Combat gets repetitive very quickly and does not feel rewarding, which is rather worrying seeing as Act II does a "just go do arena combat ... again ... and again ... and again ..." main quest ...

... writing can be great; for example I really like the tension of the siege and subsequent events but there's a certain level if clashing "vibes" with the whole "this is a porn game" and "this is serious dark fantasy" for me. That's maybe hard to resolve (like how conventially attractive and clean all the love interests are no matter what ...) and just needs to be tolerated, but the myriad of run-on sentences do not have that excuse. Comma splices are bad. Don't do them. Use a full stop, that's what they exist for ^^

More subjectively I feel Markus' role is kinda meh; basically he's just there to complain every single time ^^# Would be nice if he had some sort of arc. I also feel the plot is best when it's about the personal stakes and horrors; this whole God stuff can go fuck right off. I'm not expecting to get away from them but hopefully that doesn't take over too much. On the other hand - okay, Act II I just started and it looked to be in a pretty early development stage so I stopped there. But while I have no expectations for the God-thing I do hope you can actually tell "the Mistress" and her "secrets" to go fuck off (also a decent example of the porn game vs RPG: in an RPG I'd expect to be able to take sides here. In a porn game, well, she's an attractive lady so obviously you are going to go along with it so you can fuck her later ...)

Oh, and one more writing thing I find a bit meh; it's the habit of name dropping characters and expecting that to somehow feel epic or interesting. O noes, it's the Witch of MFLJEF! The name alone is terrifying! Countless stories and such! ... it's done with the Boss Demondude, with the Evil God, the Mom, the royal bodyguard ... this sorta stuff needs properly building up. If characters talked about these before you could maybe understand once they actually become relevant, but for the most part they just pop up and then it's supposed to "do something" ^^#

But yeah. Don't get me wrong. I still like the game. It's just one of those where I feel I need to attach a "but" to ^^#

Well you see the queen I thought at the start of the game where they have the royal announcement or whatever it was.
And when you rescue someone later on. But I'm going to guess you'll get to meet(gigity) the queen once you get back to the first town which likely won't happen until Act 3 or something.

I'm not sure when they plan to have this game finished but I'll just wait until then, hopefully the world doesn't end before then. (seems that's always a possibility these days, lol)

I think you're not setting mikaXDivineSceneSkipped to True in some cases, it's set to None in the Garden/Money route for me, which leads to the "Are you going to revisit Sister Divine again?" option being available when Mika is a lover which doesn't makes sense.
