Been watching the game and leaving it in the oven since it was born. May I ask how much content does it have now, and did the art quality drop in recent updates? It worries me to learn about the artist quitting.

It has a few hours and a decent stopping point after chapter 1. If you want to start playing, you can just save as soon as chapter 2 begins, then wait until that's finished.

out of curiosity, how do people farm gold the legit way in this game? is it just spam random encounters for hours or is there some easy grind spot i missed?

Well, you have to grind combat for your cash for the majority of the game, when you get to Hamun you can sponsor a dwarf miner girl with around 20K~ to get something like 1100 every week. But yeah selling copper, gems and healing potions you get from enemies in combat is the main moneymaker, the rate of earning is only capped by how slow the merchants in the game are to restock their gold.

I have no idea how you end up at 1100 a week from her, cause all she gives me is a mere 300, and that is With convincing her to give me a bigger cut.

And the best way to make money, is to simply NOT go to Act 2 and instead farm the Guild Quests since the gold you get from kills is pitiful, and the merchants "restock" their gold so damn slowly. And if you don't want to farm guild quests you can just goto the valley and hunt Demonai and hand in the Gems and Bronze at the blacksmith for a nice chunk, although still think guild quests are worth more.

Yeah, nope the story CG suck ass compared to the Act 1 or the sex CGs, it's like the quality went way down on them

Like you can see how detailed the Prologue or Act 1 story CG are.

The Sex CGs are fine some are even better but the artist or artists who did Story CGs need to get a set style they use because currently it's like a mish mash of styles and it's very noticeable.
It's time restrictions - not LLMs (not that we use them) or even the artists who have left.

Simply put, trying to hit updates every 2 - 2.5 months is challenging as each update is different.

We employ a 'track line' system, as we call it, where each artist does a specific job.

For example, let's say there's an update:
1 artist does 5 BGs
1 artist does 5 CGs (story images)
1 artist does 5 sex scenes
1 artist does 5 character sprites.

Sounds simple and straightforward, but updates are rarely *balanced* like that.

More than often then not, it's lopsided, like the last one. So it ends up looking more like
1 artist does 8 BGs
1 artist does 14 CGs
1 artist does 6 sex scenes
1 artist does 4 character sprites

Now, the usual solid CG artist we have takes typically about 5-7 days per CG. If we're to release at 2 months, that means he can only complete 8/14 CGs needed.

...

This means one of two choices.
A.) We keep everyone firm on their tracks, and are forced to delay the game.
B.) We have another artist who's less busy, step in and fill the void, trying to keep the style, tone and quality as high as possible.

While the dead Caltrack art isn't the best, I do think overall the art we pull is high quality and there are pieces like this one I do really like: 1766430813108.png

Or better yet, there are character models getting sharp improvements.

Enjoying the games story so far, would be nice if there was a costly respec potion in the game I could get that let you reassign all points inc perks. To experiment a bit because as new player its hard to know what will work out until you try it, but then no refunds.

As for the gameplay, it be nice if the combat was a little more animated like darkest dungeon or something, have enemies actually have idle and attack animations, with some facial quirks.

It would also be nice if the landscape and other scenes had animated parts to bring it a bit more alive inc the character sprites themselves.

Lastly, have a play with some voice LLMs and see if you can get some speech in the game (outside of sex scenes that is :) )

Maybe all that is planned eventually, this is pretty early after all.


Never was really interested in storyboard games like this in past but some recently have been a nice read and play even if they are often simple.
Certainly got me interested in what might be possible with this engine and having playing around with this stuff myself to see what is possible.
Feeling like some extra work into animation/speech/gameplay/looting mechanics could really make one of these games become next-level.
Combat anims and some little touches like that are being added with the next update. We *used* to have some but they got pulled due to causing lag which we've since resolved.

You know...if you paid attention when talking to Divine, she specifically points out that everyone with the goddess Palam's blessing were Born As Males...doesn't get much clearer than that my dude!
I have a distinct memory of that scene having big bold, red writing saying WARNING: FUTA

... But maybe it got deleted somehow? I've been really puzzled why people have saying Divine's content has ambushed them... Huh...

Hunting Demorai in the Valley of Death is probably the most common way. You get lots of gems that you can sell to any merchant and bronze scraps for the blacksmith.
You can also check the Adventurers Guild regularly for the Price for Life quest, guaranteeing 850+ gold by killing the bandits and keeping the ransom money.

The game is ambitious and well designed. I came for fapping and stayed for the story!

I've never favoured any futa/fury/monster before, not my taste sexually. But this game makes them feel natural for the in-game world. All thanks to the writer I guess.

I suspect the writer is a pro. Great world building, complex story depth, diverse cast of characters. It's a fantasy novel with lots of easter eggs, reflecting the struggles in our societies in real life.

I chose Romantic route, and Nyx doesn't appear in her room after dark.
However, when I pick Dominant route, she appears in her room after dark.
I'm a vanilla guy. So I would like to romance her.

The graphic itself is pretty alright, but they're just too soft and light while the old ones were sharp and gritty. Some basic adjustments (Just for comparison, I'm not a photo editor) would bring back that dark tone.

If the bottom monster head and the one far out were shaded a bit more the render would, in my opinion, be 5x better.
The soft edged, bright look is the same on the girls, where their facial features are drawn fuller instead of sharply. Saw a render in the thread where one of the ladies face lost the hollow cheek Victorian look and gained full cheeks and a more soft look.

Still good (Bit bland though), but it's a 180 stylistically. I understand the Dev isn't a cutthroat entrepreneur that will replace his artists in a blink, and it's respectable. As long as the art in general is at least passable, and the story is good, I'll support 100%. I would suggest that when the game is complete going back through the renders and making them all consistent years down the line, but that's neither here nor there,

If they get time they should separate the components of the GFX and give them a bit of animation. So for example in the above, have the backdrop as-is but the protag and monster as separate animated overlays.

I'm no expert in AI graphics these days but I think the better use of it is for enhancing existing works and I believe they can take images and animated them into movie clips then it just be a matter of converting it from there.

What I'm saying, less stills, more active imagery would be awesome enhancement for any story-based game.

EDIT: A decent example is Tales of Androgyny, doesn't do it enough imo but does a decent job none the less at animating otherwise static scenes.
