Ren'Py Parasite Black [v0.176] [Damned Studios]

Both the incest patch and rollback won't work in Android. I followed the instructions, placing the patch file inside Android/data/parasite.black/files/game/ but the game keeps crashing. Game version is v0.176

I investigated the issue of the incest patch not loading on Android devices, but I haven't yet managed to resolve it.

PrEzi Do you have an idea why the rolback patch is not working on Android devices? The traceback is identical to the one I posted above.


If anyone has any thoughts on how to solve the issue, please let me know.

Enjoying the games story so far, would be nice if there was a costly respec potion in the game I could get that let you reassign all points inc perks. To experiment a bit because as new player its hard to know what will work out until you try it, but then no refunds.

As for the gameplay, it be nice if the combat was a little more animated like darkest dungeon or something, have enemies actually have idle and attack animations, with some facial quirks.

It would also be nice if the landscape and other scenes had animated parts to bring it a bit more alive inc the character sprites themselves.

Lastly, have a play with some voice LLMs and see if you can get some speech in the game (outside of sex scenes that is )

Maybe all that is planned eventually, this is pretty early after all.


Never was really interested in storyboard games like this in past but some recently have been a nice read and play even if they are often simple.
Certainly got me interested in what might be possible with this engine and having playing around with this stuff myself to see what is possible.
Feeling like some extra work into animation/speech/gameplay/looting mechanics could really make one of these games become next-level.

Yeah, nope the story CG suck ass compared to the Act 1 or the sex CGs, it's like the quality went way down on them

Like you can see how detailed the Prologue or Act 1 story CG are.

But Goddamn Act 2 is starting with a mid-story CGs for its first epic quest

Some of them look unfinished and unpolished, like damn the MC's drip got stripped from him but its not all bad some CGs were good it even felt like a different artist did them

The Sex CGs are fine some are even better but the artist or artists who did Story CGs need to get a set style they use because currently it's like a mish mash of styles and it's very noticeable.

I admit to being a mostly uninformed rube when it comes to art, but honestly some of these could be lighting issues. Most of the 'good' CGs also have a lot of smoke effects and a mostly uniform hue which could obscure things and shift the feel they convey. Though I will agree that one CG of MC standing over the Caltrack's corpse is bad, its like his proportions shifted a bit. The rest is fine IMO, I know I didn't pay too much mind to it while playing the update.

I noticed the art difference a lot more because I decided to play the game from beginning to end. The shift in art style is weird; the entirety of Act 2 feels off. Because all the Act 2 CGs come from the same quest, the quality control is inconsistent.

Also, the details of the Parasite armor were stripped away. The MC had the "drip" and was looking cool, but then they stripped my boy down; they gave him the "OPM S3 treatment" in some scenes.

Goofy ahh image. This feels like how Jared would feel after defeating the MC, before the MC talks to him on the side and tells him, "Yeah, you beat the tail clone." (Damn, I went off-topic; squirrel brain be squirrelling.)

But I feel like, going forward, the devs are going to update these CGs to make them more in line with the rest.

I got the distinct impression Act 2 is hugely incomplete. So perhaps some art is mostly placeholder, certainly needs a rework, and perhaps they used some LLM generator on some and it just needs a bit more training to get it right (and manual tweaking).
Yeah the MC changed appearance at times, hope that gets fixed, after-all we are talking about a few image slides so not like it should be hugely difficult to get it right in time.

It would have been nice if a popup happened in Act 2 to let you know the game content has ended more or less.

Yea that's not how the word "optional" works. You not knowing she was futa beforehand. Does not change the fact that her romance is optional.... and that you chose it. Plus finding out that the mages in the tower are all futa. Ain't exactly deeply buried and hard to find info. Like it's been a minute. But I could've sworn that talking about the tower and the people there, are one of her talk options.
