You get the multitool at 3.3 so you should have it for 12.3....
Can you check your inventory at the bottom do you have this:


If you click on it it's should give you this:


I have not played the 0.3.1 yet so i won't be of much help

But that's up to you to run it or not, it's more or less telling you that Microsoft don't know the program origin or something
This does appear a lot since you have on option to only run Windows/Microsoft approuved or need to be listed in windows store software i believe.

It's that screen, but I hit "Run anyway" and it still doesn't work.
Inside the game, there's another folder with another x64 executable.
I also start it, and it doesn't do anything.
I'll have to give up, because it doesn't solve the problem.

Try checking their discord maybe it's in the op

Alright.

It's been about 4 or 5 updates so now I feel comfortable enough to post this.
I've not once been able to run this game. It opens, plays the opening cutscene, and then as soon as the camera POV switches to show the backside of our MC, the whole thing freezes. Not just the game, but it also crashes my PC itself.

Did you check the discord prompt to see if they have a Bug/Trouble shooting section?

I've done it, and it still doesn't work, and the blue screen appears: "Windows protected your PC."
"Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unknown app from starting."
I think I'm doing something wrong, I don't know what it is.

I would highly suggest proposing this issue in the Discord bug channel, if this issue is still persistent. Good luck hombre

Save files from 0.2.x versions of the game will not work in versions 0.3.x. Why does it say this because it never worked anyway, not even from 0.2.0 to 0.2.1?

For now you can use save from v0.3 for the v0.3.1

I don't get how people can get stuck, there is always one way you can progress.

Quality of the game is pretty good, there is only one thing I dislike, this disgusting white lighting.
One of my first learned level designer rule was "never use pure white lights".

Just had one bug, after the long cut scene after finding the lab, I could not draw my weapon anymore.

The thing that bugs me (besides not having the scientist lady's clothes as a wearable outfit) is the maps you collect are upside down relative to the one shown on the wall. It always throws me off and takes a second to reorient myself.

There's a gallery. Also, you can be "defeated" many times, IIRC.
And "character arc"? Are you talking about story things and alike? Well... The game does have a story, and the protagonist does become more depraved over time thanks to the exposition to the lust inducing spores. But we still don't have any Tolkien here.

Hotter for you. Just saying: hot male protags exists for way more reasons than self insert or military propaganda. Not that I like them, but this is also a market to be explored by the corps, so if you ever fall among them and you find "hot girl on the cover" way too full, know that there are alternatives.
