Hiya @SoulStealer That can happen during saves. Adrift can get a bit iffy if you have selected something with the mouse or have written something in the textbox during save.
I have made a quick video guide to work around the key or tool click errors or other weird stuff that I can't place. In most cases this should solve them

@benjiyac One of the commands is "bartend". All commands you unlock are listed under "help"
@Tanaxanth Not really. You get to invite them all in turn, but it unlocks different story plots in different order.

Hiya @BSP Then you might also want to swing by the lab Monday evening to kick a path into gear that is lacking some progress
There will be a patch some time next week that removes that specific day requirement.
