Any way to fix this smoothing in the game files? I already checked my global graphics settings and I don't see anything turned on that would smooth out pixel edges like this. View attachment 4708003

Same thing on my end. Can anyone who has played earlier versions of the game confirm whether it has always looked like this or not?

Edit: To clarify, I can see in the screenshots in OP that it looks clearer, but I'm wondering if this weird smoothing/blurriness to the textures was introduced with v1.7 or if it has been like this for a while?

I don't expect perfect optimization but I do expect to walk more than 2 hallways before encountering some glitch or bug that ruins the gameplay. In just 1 hallway I had my hud disappear, the controls stopped working, and the enemies got me but couldn't do anything either which softlocked the game. I like the game but there is so many game breaking problems that probably should be addressed before adding more content. This new update makes endless enemies spawn because they always called for reinforcements even after they were dead. Not kidding dead on the ground but still got up and screamed to spawn more. I don't ask for much just some fixes to what they have before more gets added and it gets worse.

P.S. I can't help that patreon won't take my money.

Yeah it was clear but then it got a bit blurry after one update. Then got extremely blurry after the next. So it got progressively bad.

You can use the 1.6.1 debug exe to fix this issue. Still works for brining back the console and fixing the texture filtering the latest version.

Also the elevators have to be fixed to move on most of the time so you can't just run away. I used to know the layout of everything but now I have no idea because the elevator locations seem to have changed.

Because not fixing current bugs and constantly adiding new content only makes it worse in the long run.

Patch:

Add Prison
Add Security Cameras
Add Cockroaches
Crab monsters can now call for reinforcements in their area.
Add Contamination System
Contamination is applied per zone.
As contamination increases, more cabinets and beds on the map mutate into tentacle forms.
Reinforced monsters are now replaced from worms to cockroaches.
Contamination tentacles can be removed using fire weapons or explosives. Removing them decreases the area's contamination level.

Add Scout Units
Crab monsters can break or forcibly open all types of doors.
Players can now repair destroyed doors, but become vulnerable while repairing.
Player movement speed is reduced during reloading.

Minor Bug Fixes

Fixed soft lock caused by octopus
Replaced problematic elevator with a new one
Fixed monster pathfinding issues
Fixed UI crash on multiple playthrough reloads
