Crabs can call them in. They also appear at 3AM raids, but that get's hectic. You might also find they're bugged, and don't actually do anything.

The 3AM raid finally spawned them. But man oh man is that route buggy as hell.... not even the animation play on right.. and some enemies still attack you.
if you level up there's a skill passive that allow you to be chill with the enemies BUT you cant recruit them unless you unlock another skill.
You level up by knocking out the survivors (and dragging them by the pit of vines idk how to call it) or go to a big squid and ask him to help you give birth (you need the preg icon to go red first).
You cannot kill monsters to gain exp/levels anymore since you are now in their team also you cant eat its says (in the game i don't remember where) you need semen to eat but i honestly just unlocked a skill that allows you to eat cuz I'm scared of losing progress. if you are lost ask any question

New to the thread I just want to know if the game is still far to complete or not and on how much content there is thanks

If you don't know what folder I'm talking about, its the one where your save games are located. Type %appdata% in file explorer, back out one step to the Roaming folder, then delete the Pasec1 folder inside either Local or LocalLow (don't remember which, pretty sure it's the latter one)

Ill certainly try this, it might explain alot. the different save files in appdata seem to change internally from version to version, so it might not play nice, especially with new features added.

The game is still buggy with a fresh, but not near unplayable. It doesn't more than a couple of seconds to do and the game isn't THAT expansive in size to really warrant being angry about save deletion every time. It's annoying yes, but it's not that annoying.
saving the EndSave file separately, and doing a fresh wipe would mitigate most of the headache, you could keep all the gallery and omake unlocked, and have atleast less of a buggy mess. I am going to try a fresh run, with completely new files, and ill see what bugs I encounter. Ill try to cheese it in the files, to see if I can up my "pollution" level so that the small octopus enemys start being summoned. and Ill try to find a locker mimic enemy, I heard those seem bugged, but poking through some of the files, it looked like maybe they were just made more rare?
edit: so far, I have found that with a fresh wipe of the save files, the bug where using the toilet causes your character to disappear still happens; thats a small gripe.

Also vents if you try to hide in those. It appears anything using the new system where you have a chance of being ambushed by something hiding just broke all the related animations.
Alright, I did some messing around and I have been able to have small octopus spawn. The cultist content is reachable, but with some caveats.
1. if you cheat the "pollution" save file, you need to change the value to about 190ish, for it to reach 75-80 infection.
2. if you cheat the file early on, and then get corrupted by a small octopus, you dont seem to be able to pick up already downed survivors (like the ones already caught and downed by crabs and such.) You have to be able to talk to them. And you cant seem to revive them, if you are corrupted, atleast, not that I can see. So, if you dont have a safe house area, already filled with a few survivors, you wont be able to gain xp, to get all the perks. Of course, already banked AP roll over, but whats the fun of having all these abilities, when you cant use them?

When acting as a cultist, how are you supposed to 'eat', so to speak? Talking to the creatures doesn't show any options
its not really in the game yet, probably need to wait for a few more vers
