For the people expecting some incest i'm just going to drop this classic here
Really? For me, it's riddled with at least 5 annoying bugs. I mean, i can ignore buggy "preferences" tab and lack of "load" + buggy "resume", but even some dialogue choices lead to error. With girlfriend's mom. The game is certainly interesting plot-wise and have a big potential, but dev needs to fix these. If he even aware about them. And make the game a bit more comfortable for the player. Art is of course a problem too, but it's not that bad. And can improve. Or just commission some art if possible. I like the overall "old" style he use and characters types, it's just not polished at all.Honestly I played it , while like the majority of people here have already stated the art is rather scary, with that said the character designs are not bad and with the proper artist this game would/could be amazing . Game play wise I didn't experience any real errors or crashes I am certainly going to keep an eye on this game .. if they can over come the art issue this could be amazing .. I mean one of the characters in the banner appears to be a clown girl with hyooge tits ..
Yeah, i mostly agree. He definitely needs some money for coder and artist (i honestly doubt he can improve his own art fast enough), but it would be hard. I mean, what would you expect from people? Most users would always comment about how bad they think art is, even without playing (and most comments on first pages of any thread is about characters appearance anyway). So, naturally many devs trying to make their game look appealing to the eye.Every game needs art, story and code to work and reach an audience. In most of the one-man-projects you find either a coder or an artist trying to make a game. That's why most of the games suck story wise but look nice or work properly. In this case I'd say we have a storyteller, because the game has some ideas to work with the BTTF theme, and he already outlined his story concept for the coming parts, but his coding is so bad that he even fucked up a semi-automatic tool like Ren'py and his art is...rough at best. I get the idea what he wants to draw and like the direction (mature curvy models, milk leaking nipples, big boner...) but it will take a considerable development in his drawing skills to get these ideas to "sexy".
I hope for the best but expect it to become abandoned, given the not so appreciating feedback he gets.
if you think its ugly then you try drawing because i'm pretty sure you can't do betterUu-u-ug-g-gl-l-l-l-y
better drop this message in the op post, so people will have to see it opening the thread or the whole convo will be people being people (read:assholes). We get it, the art needs improvement. You're all hilarious for coming up with the shittiest and most hateful thing to say about it.
Oh, wait, that's right - this isn't the chans. Enough.
I really doubt he would. Considering how Patreon treats these devs now. Many of them now deliberately trying to avoid this theme, but still staying as close as possible. With "step", "family of my mom's friend", etc. We will see how this one will avoid that.Just add a little time travel incest and there you go.
Maybe he's trying to follow "old style", i'm not sure. But I just personally think he's bad at faces. Look at MC. Girls look kinda milfy enough, but it needs work just like everything else. Best feature of his art? I liked how he draws pussy i guess. Here's how I see it: Art style? Not too bad. Cartoony vibes are usually feels good and nostalgic, ala Summertime Saga. It's actual follow through and delivery? Needs work. I don't know WHY the women are almost drawn to be off putting in their faces. Just fix some of that, (I know, it's hard work and I appreciate all efforts) and I'd be willing to check it out. -Morah
Sorry, but Taffy Tales is Unity game. Can't say i noticed that bug from Taffy here. But yeah, "go to my patreon" is pretty annoying. Especially if my browser closed. However, this game also suffers from some of the problems other Ren'Py games have (like Taffy Tales) in that the hit box for clicking buttons and interactive objects on the screen do not feel entirely well-defined. There were several times I thought I was hovering correctly over an object, only to find I had to move it to a slightly different spot. This is a bit annoying and detracts from the general experience.
Optimist Prime overall just needs help. I think we all can see that. At least tester. My bad, I mistook the engine. It's still a pet peeve of mine though; making clean, accurate hitboxes that correspond to the visual object should be a priority as it feels very "off" when not clean.
