VN Ren'Py Past Tense [Ch.2] [Howie]

I dig some bits of the story and a I like the blonde girl but to me the game has some short comings.

- The story leaves many things open-ended to hook the player. The problem is that it leaves basic questions unanswered. Such as what kind of relationship exists between this and that character. You should leave some things unanswered, of course, but you should explain some basic things to us to know who the MC is and who the npcs are.

- Your not mother and your not sister. At this point this type of thing is trite, do an incest game or don't but don't try to mix things to try to avoid Patreon ban on incest. Mixing things is complex and rarely works. My advice is go full incest or full vanilla.

- Updates are short and take too much time for a starting project. More than 1 year in the making and you have 2 short chapters. I understand that making a vn in DAZ requires many hours of work, but at this pace you won't get many followers/buyers.

Eh, my idea for the future is more straightforward. Agnes arrives and seduces MC (successfully this time). Angela hears or even sees them going at it, gets jealous, and becomes MC's Sugar Mommy. The other girls find out eventually, but by that time, the MC is too far gone.

as long as the first priority is always story and characters, and the sex scenes make sense and they serve a purpose

And what I mean by that is if an update has a sex scene in there

It's because you wanted and needed to put it in there, and it's not in there just because it's an adult vn

And you had no choice but to put it in there

I just found this game and played it. Decent start, mostly good renders and the story is there (still early days, so it needs a bit more to fully capture the attention). I've read some posts about the paths and such, I saw there no harem and there's a throuple planned, seems good enough.
If there's a thing I would personally enjoy to see, is that the paths for the LIs are not setup too early in the story. For me, it feels a bit bad to have to choose a LI in like chapter 3 or 4, especially when the chapters are not that big too being with. More time to get to know the girls and their stories would be appreciated, before having to make the hard choice

PS: I also have one critique, very subjective one at that, so feel free to ignore it. Pls get some eyelashes on MC Those soulless eyes freak me out a bit. His whole face is a bit...dunno how to put it into words, he looks like the skin got "erased" with sandpaper. Like Leon or Ben, have actual skin textures, eyebrows, eyelashes, etc while MC seems to have lost them due to too much "polish". Or it might just be me that sees things this way, it's been known to happen.



Anyway, GL with your game, I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

If next chapter has a branching path choice, I feel like I need to make a blind choice and see where that takes me. I agree you shouldn't be locked in right away cause not everyone can decide right away but I feel around Ch 4 or 5 for most games is about a good time for dev's to start to think about it. Tho that depends on how much content there is and varies from game to game. For me personally Usually after 2 or 3 chapters is all I need to decide on a favorite unless I end up liking everyone about the same , Some games even 1 chapter is enough haha but that isn't common.
