I got a fucking heart attack. Took me WAY too long to realize it was a joke, only after I read the first paragraph on that "patreon news" page. Fuck, that instant realization that the owners of f95 just sold their asses to patreon, which probably means that this site will no longer be a pirate site, hit me right in the soul. I mean, it's not an unrealistic thing to happen, honestly. Remember tumblr literally killing itself because they wanted investor money?

Fuck, that was REALLY scary.

You fell for it when it led to the Patreon website
I mean, yeah, a whole site for a single joke. And it actually has several other articles as well. So much effort. And it worked.

Good job on the (pre-)April Fools joke. The real-ish looking "news" domain is a nice touch, too! For those who haven't seen it yet, it appears as a banner above games and other posts on the forum. It definitely made me laugh.
So the whole domain is made up? It looks so real. That got me so worried in the first place:eek:
Edit: now I noticed that the site has a hyphen instead of a comma...

Dude, I opened f95 in the morning while sipping my morning tea and this was the first thing I saw... damn... A deep sadness came over me until I read the comments and realized it. I have never been so fooled by an april 1st joke since I was a kid. Bastardos.

The people here would riot. Don't stand between a perv and his (free) porn, they will fight tooth and nail before they see their fav adult site sold out to the likes of corpo trash.

I was really upset thinking on all the ramifications this would have on my favorite genre(wincest), no more patches and probably the removal of the tag or something. Well played F95Zone team:ROFLMAO:.

They spent a couple of bucks on a domain name, created one page (by using CTRL+C/CTRL+V of one page from the real site) - probably used AI to write most of the content, except for the quotes and left the links to the real patreon site intact.

Did it work? yes, on far too many people. FAR TOO MANY! and has created a lot for the rest of us to laugh (and cry) at.
