I used aunt and cousin, although Supercocco seems to be "Libra" in the zodiac signs, (pathological undecided) FG went with counselor and friend said that appealed more to him.
Foster Mom / foster sis would be an alternative, hope that helped......if not drink another mug of coffee ! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I'm Aries but I actually don't give a damn about zodiac signs, so there's that

But back on topic, my first immediate thought was actually going for aunt/cousin, it was more appealing, so I didn't go with the original counselor/friend. I just got some "confusing" vibes while talking to Hailey in the bedroom, which is what got me second guessing if that relationship would actually work in the long run.
When it comes to naming relationships, I like to stick to "short" terms, which is why using things like "foster mom/sis" "stepmom/stepsis" has never been my cup of tea. So, in order to stop having doubts, I simply left two saves with different relationships, and see how they'll unfold from there.

exactly, that is also my preference in naming relationships, and one of the reasons, I went with aunt/ cousin,

Ok, I'm confused after reading through the thread.

Who have you people put down Judy and Hailey to be towards the MC? Some related some say keep it as councilor and friend.
I chose the non-incest. Mostly because the incest option felt a bit forced. Some say it works, I felt that the whole "Treat him like family" instantly broke the illusion.

In the end, if this was to be an incest based game, the option would be clear as day, with ALL the dialogues pointing to it, in order for the suspension of disbelief to be maintained. It isn't so. It is written to be a non-incest. So be it. I can play non-incest even if my preference is the other one.

If you aren't bothered by the crashing of the illusion here and there, go with it. I tried, couldn't feel it. Maybe you do. :: shrugs ::

Peace :)

I'm from the River Plate region, and we don't speak properly, we have a redundant yeism (yeismo redundante- soy Uruguasho shoo) ;):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm from a part of Spain (Murcia) that's widely known around here for omitting many consonant sounds (like implosive "s"). We're sort of the laughingstock of the country when it comes to speaking  But I've always loved how languages work and vary, which is why I'm so used to Castilian Spanish idioms. Might be that an expression which sounds foreign and weird to me is pretty common in other parts though.

This is what got me second guessing as well. Sure, yeah, you might think that even though they're blood-related, them not being too close could cause certain friction, which is why Judy would say something like "treat him like family", in the sense that MC was now part of their household and should be treated as such. Still, then it would've made more sense to say something like "make him feel welcome", "don't push him away", "treat him as one of our own". But specifically mentioning "treat him LIKE family" makes me believe that they weren't family in the first place. So yes, other interactions fit the whole aunt/cousin narrative perfectly, but others make it feel a bit "off". We'll see how the story progresses.

Hmm, would only make sense if you set it as Stepaunt/ Stepcousin, which I didn't since I don't enjoy using long relship. titles
Edit: darn server sync.! Superocco ; yeah "treat him like he is from the house" (tratenlo cómo si fuera de la cása) would have made more sense in that context, although, I'm inclined to think like someone already pointed out they were referring to the "nuclear family"

Is the MC related to Gene Simmons?

Hopefully only in the tongue department... can't stand the guy... he even made me reconsider liking KISS, just because of his personality.

BUT, if there ever was a reason to have a long tongue... that is the best one.

;)

Peace :D

I know, meaning that there's family (anyone blood-related) and then there's the "core" family (like parents, children, etc.). However, it's still an 'odd' wording if the purpose was for them to be family all along. Basically any other sentence which didn't imply that would've worked perfectly in order to not break the aunt/cousin immersion.

Aunt and cousin fits the story better than councilor and friends.
