The game keeps crashing and my computer is running at breakneck speeds... I don't recommend this game, and apparently it has a virus.

I would recommend glasswire if you are worried about stuff it will let you know if something connects to the internet and you can also firewall it so it cant do anything

I cleaned and scanned my PC several times with ESET and Windows defender. Both didnt find anything after cleanup. Is this save enough or should I still reinstall windows?

There is an antoher quest for him. You'll need to talk to him when he is next to the sundial(the place you originally found him)

I have the same question, I already do a full scan with windows defender multiple times and it show no threat anymore so I don't know if it good enough, I don't really want to reinstall window because I will have to install all my apps and stuff again. But if it really necessary then I will do it but I wonder how you guys usually do it, with which option? Is there a way to keep my data or I have to wipe out all and make a fresh start.

Thanks, I am quite a dummy but that sound like an optional choice between reinstall and clean up. That's why I am still indecisive about without any confirmation. And also for the second half of my question, did you already do it and how did you do? Also you don't want to change passwords on the same device even If the antivirus remove the threat right?

If you're risky guy you can just change your passwords and call it a day since I'm about 75% sure the virus didn't hide itself in the system and just performed single steal, however to be certain you're safe it's best to reinstall windows with full format.
If you don't want to lose any of your files you can choose middleground and install windows on top of your old windows, it is an option in installer so none of your files will be gone. However it depends on when was the last time you reinstalled OS, it is recommended to do it somewhat regularly anyway to keep it clean and performant

I don't know what triggers him being there either. I couldn't make him appear in one playthrouh so I started another, but in that playthrough another quest is stuck. This game is buggy as hell. I personally will be waiting for a patch.

Thank you for the answer, so I just need download a windows installer on their website to do it or is there an option built-in the setting? I found there is a reset pc option but wonder if it is the same. And I am not quite understand the part that what do the last time I reinstalled OS will affect it process?

Yeah installer should do the trick, I assume even without loading into bios. You should be reinstalling OS every now and then to keep it running smooth and clean. So if you didn't do that in several years running a malware is a good motivator, that's what I meant
