This is probably going to be a stupid question but what actually causes time to pass in this game? It feels like my character wakes up, does about three things and then it's night-time or he's exhausted.
Making Potions, Having Sex, Walking into a New Zone all take 1 Hour of MC's time.

Time advances everytime you fight/fuck/move to a new screen/work

Thanks for the responses. It would be nice if we could have an actual time in the top right corner. It can be kind of hard to tell what time it is.
I tend to agree, though I'm not sure about the actual time (it is a medieval setting afterall), I'd like a better sense of night/dawn/day/dusk, the current system isn't very easy to read.

An hourly clock has been requested several times. Currently the only way to know the time exactly is by doing a Save.

For travel time, several maps are no time to enter but an hour to leave (ex: inner spider cave, Sacred Well, Ziva's/Liandra's house, Tower of Dread). A few others like the Swamps or Vixenatrix' lair take several hours each way to represent a longer/more difficult journey.

Some actions take longer than an hour. Most of them are straightforward, like doing something at the forge or helping Rosy with baking (both are always two hours). One or two are variable...grinding wheat into flour can take up to three hours depending on how much wheat you're grinding. (Planting or harvesting crops seems like it should take time, but it doesn't.)

A big variable is making potions from the recipe book. Each potion takes an hour, but you can keep making them as long as the book is still open...all the time (and fatigue!) is applied when you close the book. Each potion using the Chalice is a separate one-hour action (there's a ritual or something).

That seems pretty scattershot. Has Tinkerer ever spoken on this matter or are these lengths of time so ingrained in the code at this point it'd be impossible/PITA to adjust? I mean I guess it's a good thing nothing in this game really has a time limit (that I'm aware of).

Time management is one of the keys to progressing the game rapidly and it takes time to learn the best way.
With proper time management and the right potions it is surprising how much you can get done in those 24 hours .

Working at the forge or helping Rosy make sense to take longer. And the more wheat you grind the longer that takes. I think planting/harvesting crops was left at no time for gameplay reasons, it's a porn game rather than a farming sim. :p

Places taking longer to reach also make sense. Vix's lair and the Kroggoth cave are both deep in the mountains, and the first time you go to the Swamps it says it takes hours to get there. The places that only take time when you leave them can be thought of as "closer/easier than an hour each way, but too far/difficult for no time."

I have no issue with potions taking an hour for each, alchemy isn't supposed to be quick. I think the nonstop potion-making with the recipe book was left in because setting it to boot you out when Fatigue got too high was a PITA.

However, there is an exploit for some of the long actions...

Thanks for the detailed response. Now that you've explained it, it makes more sense. I just wish it were easier to actually TELL what time it is, and how long things will take. I suppose after playing the game for a long time you kind of learn it, but still.

how do i cheat the dice?? mtfk i put more than 3k into the dice and can't still win
If you've messed up the quest save before entering the store then if all goes pear shaped you can reload and play again. It may take some time but you can get there in the end.

Is there a list of upcoming changes, preview update?
Tinkerer doesn't give roadmaps to future update content. But the "sneak peek" posts which get forwarded here give an idea of the next update, and hints on what might be in the one after that. He does sometimes change things without forewarning as well...v3.22 changed the grace period before girls start losing Affection and also how Cheatmode works.

There are some broad ideas for the future, but no clear timeframes or even order of doing them. "Finish" Beth's and Vixenatrix' storylines, add a dwarven girl, add Cath, upgrade Daiyu to one of the MC's girls, add more shops in Greyport and more things to buy at existing shops, develop the inner part of Greyport...

The next update will "finish up" the giants' storyline, at least for now, and almost certainly add having Mia's kids collect ingredients (similar to the Family Farm kids, or having Rosy's kids tend the rental field crops). The update after that is high probability of reworking and "finishing" Beth's storyline.

"Tinkerers Update News"

Hi again!

I don't really have all that much to tell, other than that the progress on scripting is going well. I'm sort of optimistic about my schedule this time around (end of month). It was more of an excuse to post another image.

Anyway, have a great week boys and girls!

Was thinking the same thing. I think Hilde's having a record scratch moment...
The sisters aren't too happy with sharing the mc's cock with Birgitte
I feel like I have a rough idea what's gonna happen based on what we have seen. MC is gonna flirt/get with Birgitte, the sisters are gonna have some kind of fertility sex ceramony/wedding(?) With MC. Birgitte, not wanting to just be a side peace, decides to crash the party (if the sisters are willing to share him with each other, why cant she also share him?). This isnt gonna end well for MC as both sisters have shown a dislike of Birgitte (to varying extents) & Frida is probably still recovering from her BF cheating with her sister. (Although from the look on MC's face he may have invited her...)

Now either Birgitte will be accepted by the sisters & also raise her kids in the Camp. Or she will be sent to the Temple as a kind of compromise.

Just my thoughts.
