"I thought I'd give you another update on what's happened lately. All the images for scene 7 are now done. The 10-12 cutscene images I planned to do, turned into about 20. And I still want to do another six or seven.
Scriptwise I am pretty close to done. I'm currently doing the questlog and I still have to do some "idiot proofing". Basically to keep people from marching their goblin lovers into places they don't belong (Example: The village or Frida's home). As long as no mayor issues pop up I should be able to complete my draft tomorrow.
However I have yet to start work on the eight and final scene. And I still have to playtest and bugfix before I can send it to external testing. I fear it will take me at least 4 days of testing and bugfixing, to get it ready for my test guy. He'll likely need another day or two to complete his test. After which I have to spend another day or two fixing his complaints/findings. And at that point I still won't have begun on scene 8.
To be honest, this update has become to big for me to properly handle. Once you pass a certain number of changes, you end up spending a lot of time just trying keep track and figure out how it all fits together, I therefor fear some large bugs may still be lurking, even after the usual rounds of testing. I would therefor like to launch a test version, sometime after next weekend. So those of you who feel a bit adventurous can help me test the build and hopefully uncover any nasty surprises. In the meantime I'll work on adding more polish to the build and add that final scene.
I wish I had better news, but I bit over more than I could chew this time. I will give you another status update next weekend.
