If you have read, then there is a possibility that something went wrong with the extraction. You can verify by looking in "www/img/pictures" to see if you have the series of images starting with "DDED" and how many you didn't have. If just one is missing, then it's probably your extractor program problem. Just extract that single image again and put it where it need to be.

when I start the quest the milk maid and SalesmannI get stucked in the hous. Looks like something is at the door, I can not getthe door.
No way to exit. Someone any Idea.

I'm sure if you look into the www folder of the game, inside of it you'll have another www folder because you put the mod's www folder inside instead of just merging it

Anybody else's game just completely locking up when entering the house for rent in Weirdwood? Not sure what I can do. I do have the cheat mod installed, that could be the reason. It's all up to date, though.

delete the cheat mod as it breaks the game (the built-in cheats are enough) and get the bugfix

The game won't have those files. They are part of the Spicy mod. You need to make sure you have the mod install properly. After you extract the Spicy mod (for version 3.55-3.61), make sure that you have all 437 images in "www/img/pictures" and 33 movies in "www/movies". Copy those into the same folder of the game ("www/img/pictures" and "www/movies"). Make that you have the Censorship.txt in "www' folder. It serve as an on/off switch. Same applied for the Gnome mod.

Bugfix fix the bug (rented house for version 3.61). It has nothing to do with missing image.

Also, don't use unsupport mod like the Gallery/Cheat mod.

Any extraction software can be faulty at time, so does the download. You only need to worry if they always give you error.

version 3.41 and earlier used the "Decensor" patch, which got changed to the Spicy & Gnome mods for 3.51 and later, because prior to 3.41 the images where in the game whether you used the patch or not (you just didn't see them), those images where removed in 3.51 needing an actual mod to reintroduce them.

Tinkerer really should fine tune the system. so people who don't want this content don't get the "errors"

It's required since version 3.51 (or may be earlier) due to Patreon rules. If you do not want incest content (Spicy: Erevi daughter, Shakala daughter, Julia, the Ghost Qetesh) or beastiality (Gnome: Mia, Beth), then you don't need the mods. However, it will not guaranty that you will not recieve error like that. So, install the mod but turn it off (delete or rename the 2 text files).

Meh! if people can't find the mods that restore incest and Bestiality for themself they don't deserve to have incest and bestiality in their game.

Not disagreeing but I suspect that would require a significant rebuild to accomplish. Or at least enough work to count as a full update. Maybe once the Main storyline is done.

Alt scenes don't even need to be "good", have a simple drawing of a tea party with your daughters instead of sex. petting the dog instead of fucking it.... you get the idea... make them nice an crude so non idiots will figure out something else "should" go there.

They just need to share the same names as the taboo content so no errors are displayed.

I've spoken to several Devs who got banned because of content offer on other channels, several cases of them doing two versions, (one for Patreon and one uncensored version sold on sites like itch.io), if it is advertised on a channel that patreon can trace back to your patreon account then it is a risk. Discord is definately a risk if there is a link to it on your patreon.

The images and videos still need to be installed manually anyway. Replace them with non-offensive images would just create more work, and possibly more confusion if they have the same name.

The major work would be locate and modify many events and triggers. Possible bugs. Worst: Tinkerer can't understand his own code... (OK this is a joke based on my own experience with coding).

Another thing would help Tinkerer is not to publicly discuss decensor patch on Patreon. Use PM if need to.

Creating & implementing new images (which is what I pictured for scenes that don't have "safe" alternatives already) and the coding work are what I was thinking would take time and effort. And I know professional coders who regularly have to review their own documentation to remember what their older code did.

Not really, finding them can't be considered difficult when they are all clearly listed in Spicy & Gnome and there isn't any risk of bugs because we aren't modifying any code... my whole point was to stop the error messages when the game is played "AS INTENDED" (from Patreons perspective).

Doing 535 images/45 movies is time consuming sure (using apps like bulk rename can cut that time down), it's not difficult to copy something innocent over those images (in the case of using a plain Black Box any willing volunteer could do it). that could then just be dumped into the base game, to be overwritten by the taboo mods... Goodbye error messages relating to taboo content.

And to be clear when I say Alt images, I'm NOT talking about the fully rendered images Tinkerer normally does, I'm talking about little cartoony sketches that are there only to occupy the "time" the real scenes would occupy, plenty of other games use little Chibi caricatures to represent nonsexual content. I'm not sure you would even need that many if you duplicate some of the map images at the beginning and end of each scene.

I think coding would be the best way to do this (in terms of professionalism), but it is much more complicated & time consuming compared to just dropping some placeholders into the game.
