Isn't MC's mom Quetesh?
That's my theory but it's not confirmed. Dosn't change the fact I have had this opinion since early days when I first entered the Temple lol

(Also MC has crossed every other familial taboo with female relatives might as well cross this one lol)

I keep seeing this game appear and it looks like it's perfectly up my alley, but I've tried it several times and I just cannot find out how to advance. It just seems to take an eternity of grind to get anywhere... if other people have a different impression, can you please share with me some tips for getting anywhere in a timely fashion?

Follow the WK on front page of this site (ask for help if something isnt working the early WK stuff is slightly dated)

I would say focus on the Temple & Tower questlines while also doing side quests (often if you cannot do a quest at that moment then another quest will most likley give you what you need). Speak to the Mayor about other jobs & focus on the Witch/Temple until u get the Chalice. Try & do all the town quests before u leave (some will seem like they just stop or cant be continued, dont worry u just need to activate another quest requirment or get a new skill)

Then travel north-east through the Goblin Forest to reach the Tower. Focus on those quests until Erevi is pregnant & u vought her clothing. After that return to the Witch & do her quests until the Temple is restored. After that juggle main quests as they come & do side quests. Alot of quests also require LIs to get preg/give birth in order to continue there stories.

Theres also a cheat room u can enter (tiny hut next to guard tower) using the key u can get from a skeleton south-west of the town.

All the linux version zips are not extracting, I just get an error everytime, the error message is "damage zip archive"
For fellow linux user the lastest version 3.41 zip file can be fix with running
zip -FF file.zip --out fixed-file.zip

I only did that and the new archive became possible to extract. I only started the game so I don't know if there are any other issues later.

PQ isn't designed to give lewds/sex right away. Treat it as a regular rpg that happens to have LOTS of sex once you hit milestones.

PQ quest progression is pretty linear at the beginning, it's the oldest part of the game and Tinkerer was learning how to build it. It gets more flexible as you advance. Many girls' questlines can be ignored if you don't care for their stories, though virtually all of them provide in-game benefits in addition to sex if you pursue them.

You do need a chunk of money to gear up so some early grinding is probably a necessary evil if you don't use the Cheatmode mentioned by DomWolf. The need for cash grinds doesn't totally go away for a while, but does drop significantly once you hit (IMO) level 7-8. And there are quests which give passive income on completion (the cash automatically accrues periodically).

Save regularly, especially before fighting tough opponents. Turn on Autosave immediately at game start...at worst you can start over at the beginning of that day if you die/fuck something up. A useful technique is scumsaving (Save right before something and reload if you die or don't like the outcome), especially for grinds. You don't have to Save before EVERY fight/event, but too many people don't seem to Save at all.
