RPGM Peasant's Quest [v3.75] [Tinkerer]

Idea: Since it's stated that the dragon eggs could take centuries to hatch, could the protagonist of a theoretical Peasant's Quest 2 be one of the human/dragon hybrids that hatch from the eggs?
He hatches 300 years after this game, so it's a new land to explore. Half the population are his great great........great great nieces/nephews. Other egg could be an older sister that hatched decades/a century earlier and fills a similar role to either Erevi or Ziva. Could have a MILF version of Liandra by that time.

But those 2 aren't the only eggs. I currently have 4 eggs sitting in the Crater with potentially more on the way... so it's not restricted to those 2.

My theory is either she will lay a bunch of eggs that never hatch in game or in the next update they will hatch (either becoming a max group of baby dragons, while still having infinite eggs, like the Gargoyles or they will age & leave the nest needing MC to infinitely keep making them, like the Imps).

Minor nitpick...

Nieces and nephews refers to the children of siblings.
Since they're all his kids, they'd be his great, great, etc, grandchildren.

Well... besides Julia's decedents.
Those would be his great, great, etc, nieces/nephews AND his great, great, etc, grandchildren.

Oh.. and if, in a future update, he can have kids with Qetesh...
Then he'd be the father of his own siblings...
So their decedents would also be both grand niece/nephew and grandchildren.

Come to think of it....
There's going to be a fuckton of incest in and around Weirdwood in the coming generations.

And that's why PQ is actually a fantasy retelling of the origin of Alabama!

hi, I have a little problem with my saves, I have missions that I have already done that restart, for example, I wanted to go see Vixenatrix for the new mission, but it is the old one that restarts when I enter the cave, the problem is that once I beat it, I have to recover an object that is no longer there and I find myself blocked, I have already put the bug-fix. IIrc, the answer is STOP CHEATING! (Using tools from outside the game. It's got built in cheats. Use those.)
Things like... It's well known that the gallery mod breaks shit.
Also well known... save editing breaks shit too.

If I did not remember correctly. Then I apologize for the mini-rant.
Use the search function. Because that question has been asked & answered recently.

Well let's say that after losing a 45H save, I didn't really want to play the whole game again legitimately, and since I don't want to lose this 35H save, I'm going to wait for the next update to see if it works. Thanks for the info anyway.

Dude, when you break something it stays broke until YOU fix it... no update is going to magically undo whatever you did.

How did you loose your save? Don't care about your work enough to make a backup?

If you believe that you have a bug, post a save file so Tinkerer can fix the bug.

If it was caused by someting you did, then next version isn't going to fix it.

Imagining that was considered a "peasant quest Reboot", what would you keep, what would you suggest and what do you think was missing to greatly improve not just content but game wise as well. since the current one is now rounded but a snow ball?

For example, one thing that is negative in my view is how some quests can only be done by doing multiple others and how there is no hold back that slow downs the PC progress. etc or how some storylines could be reformed to be even more insteresthing while others changed from bottom up as doesnt look to grounded/too uncanny easy.

I like how some storylines are interconnected, and that to progress with some of the girls you have to do stuff for others and/or outside events have to happen before the next stage becomes available. It's not a sandbox game, there's a grand story being told and the best stories have separate arcs, subplots, and secondary/side/support characters with their own development. What the MC does can have an influence quite a ways away, and events outside the MC's control can affect what he does (or doesn't!) do.

A reboot would allow changes "under the hood" in addition to storylines. The dev has said a bunch of stuff used Common Events when they could have been Flags or Switches, and there's a lot more of those available now than CEs. Rebuilding using flags/switches for those could (should) allow more content before running up against the game engine's limitations. But a rebuild would take a LOT of time and effort, and the dev is essentially making PQ solo...

If there were a reboot I'd like some storyline changes. Like an alternate path to learning Summon that doesn't require asking Beth out on a date, so you can delay or even skip her storyline. Or conversely some other girl than Alice (probably new) to get caught up in Naamah's storyline, since that makes Alice's storyline up to that point irrelevant.

I'd also like more choices at various points. Like a way to acquire the map from the Mayor's mansion without stealing it. (Buy it? Probably spendy!). Or with Frida, she has to give you Balder before she will give birth. When she asks if you're trying to get with Mia you either lose a lot of her Affection or lie to her. A third option costing less Affection would be nice, like lying by omission or really anything else than "you got me" or "you're the only one for me." (Can't truthfully dedicate yourself to Frida since that would end game progress.)

Stupid question, but why the hell does the character refuse to respond to commands and just stand at the entrance when moving to a rented house? Out of curiosity, I even tried to fix it using cheats like noclip or teleport, but that damn thing just stops moving

Simple, reaching the end of a version, downloading but not playing the next two for X or Y reason, forgetting that you didn't play it, sorting through the old versions without checking the saves and finding yourself wanting to play the new versions without any saves, I don't think I'm the only one to whom this has happened.

If you believe that you have a bug, post a save file so Tinkerer can fix the bug.
If it was caused by someting you did, then next version isn't going to fix it.

I would do it again one day, but I have been using the save editor for several years and this is the first save that crashes, but hey, no big deal.
