If u want to try to give this game another chance then I suggest use the cheat to skip some grind (I love this game & I cheat cos I can lol). There's a Skeleton south of the town (Weirdwood) near some trees. Getbthe key & open the hut near the guardtower. Thanks mateAnd it's cool. I'm trying to get ahead enough in irl that I can maybe take another run up at it. But no guarantees there with how things are going rn hehe. It's really because of the grind that I asked cos I know the game has been around a long time. I don't really MIND the grind if it's like struggle with sin and actually engaging. But even sws never appealed before. Seeing such a high rating over such a long time makes me feel like I'm missing something, Like I'm sleeping on this game too. . But then again maybe it's just not my thing?
To me this game makes a terrible impression. But I'm a sample size of 1 so heyho. Honestly it sounds like the protag kinda stays the same. So I'm probably going to dip. But I discovered struggle with sin a while back and I often see these two games compared. Which is wild to me because they seem so different. I could also see how the devs skillz may improve as the game goes on. Though I admit describing the game as terrible may have been a bit of bad phrasing. 'It seems terrible to me' May have been better.
To me SwS was peak. So I was like wow this game is really highly rated and it's been out ages .. probably got lots of content. But about the only thing that these games seem to have in common is the medieval peasant protag. Other than that they seem wildly differtent. I'm not averse to playing a game for the story either. Teliotheral .. or whatever it's spelled games like sorcerer, terminus reach and toam are all games I like. And the hentai in them is the WORST lol.
Thanks to those of you who answered my questionsYou guys rock.
The game is definitely one that you need to have time & patience to actually get to the better stuff. Is the game the best out there? No. Is this game the most dynamic in combat? No. Are the H-scenes good? Arguably yes, especially when u see the later quality rise & the animations are nice.
I will always advocate people stick to it cos there's something for everyone & you can play the MC as a "nicer" person by actual making heroic & caring decisions. It's nit the be all & end all but it's decent game & as mentioned before, the pregnancy is the biggest draw most people have in this game.
But if it's not you're cup of tea that's understandable. But the high rating comes from the fanbase because there are very few games that meet all the criteria we want; An actual game w/ quests & combat, 3D models, & pregnancy w/ births & children. SwS is probably the closest in content overlap but personally I think the people all look like Sim characters & that's not something I like. Just my honest opinion.
