A question for the mac people/developer. I'm running Ventura on an m1 and hitting problems. I can usually play RPG Maker games doing the following to fix the "Application can't be opened"

1. Move "Game" into a non-downloaded folder
2. cd into `Game.app/Contents/MacOS` # get to the executable
3. chmod +x nwjs # change executable to be... well executable
4. Run game by double clicking on "Game", or by running ./nwjs from inside the MacOS folder

Doing the same process for this game gets some ugly messages, even when running as root.

I've tried running ./nwjs with the flags, --in-process-gpu, or --disable-gpu-sandbox, but neither seem to have any effect.

Has anyone successfully gotten this game to run on a M1? If so please guide me mac gurus

UPDATE:
Thanks to the post by dikau below I was able to get on the right track.

New steps to installing on a mac

1. Download the "sdk-version" for your computer from the nwjs download from

2. Copy the "app.nw" folder from the Peasant's Quest game app into the nwjs either from command line or finder.
   1. With finder right click on the Peasant's quest "Game" app and select "Show Package Contents".
   2. Go into the "Contents/Resources" directory and copy the "app.nw" folder.
   3. With the finder right click on your "nwjs" you just downloaded and do "Show Package Contents".
   4. Again go into "Contents/Resources" and paste the app.nw folder.
3. Peasant's quests "package.json" file is missing the "name" field value, So we need to add it.
   1. Enter the app.nw folder, and edit the "package.json".
   2. Change line 2 from "name": "", to really anything like "name": "peasants quest", ,
   3. Save and exit
4. The game should now be runnable if it's not then it's probably mac security
   1. This worked for me xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /location/to/your/nwjs-sdk-v0.80.0-osx-arm64/nwjs.app, which allows that particular app to bypass the quarantine.
5. [Optional] Change the name of your "nwjs" app to something better, i.e "Peasants Quest"

Jut tried this and it worked, although I downloaded the regular x64, not the ARM one because I have an M-series chip. This might be huge for me with some games that I haven't been able to get work. Thanks!!!

Does anyone think it'd be worth it to download this game right now if I just played the last update, but would have to restart from the beginning? I accidentally deleted peasant's quest a while ago and therefore all my saves are gone, but I won't use anyone else's saves because I always feel really uncomfortable not knowing each an every action that has been taken to build up to a given point. Even though some parts can be a little tedious all in all I don't have much of an issue with replaying it from scratch but it would suck if I did so only to get to the end and barely see any changes from last time.

Nah, wait till the next update. v391 is still pretty sizeable, but in your scenario, it'll be even more worth it if you did that AND the next update.

Honestly, I'm glad someone else said this, I thought I was alone. I've been waiting to do it since I noticed her chest isn't small enough for her to just be a background character, and I just want to stick it to her (Or in her) out of spite for all the shit I had to deal with before impregnating Mia.

Hello there!
I've finally bodged together a new build for Peasant's Quest, version 3.90. Be warned: this is a testbuild, meant for those who wish to help me uncover bugs before I release it for a larger crowd. It is also limited to Windows users, other OS's will be supported on official release v3.91, a week or two from now.
This build adds more story for the characters in the castle of Greyport (Yvette, Josephine and Cathrine). Quest/storywise this testbuild is complete, but it still lacks some features/mechanics/scenes that will ship with v3.91.
Make sure to back up any of your existing saves before playing, as this is a testbuild you may encounter some severe or even gamebreaking bugs.
The new events start the day after Josephine's first pregnancy is revealed and you have completed Yvette's sex education. Players with existing saves will need to skip to the next day to trigger the events. There is a walkthrough in the gamefolder if you require more information.
New features/changes

• 9 new quests related to the characters at the castle
• 7 new sexscenes (only 6 in this build, one scene for Josephine is missing)
• added a pregnant version of Yvette's BJ scene
• 1 new floor section (childrens floor at the castle)
• Yvette and Cathrine can now have multiple children (6 represented by sprites, each)
• a few new skills, items, enemies, and other minor additions.
• Minor bugfixes
• Most likely some new bugs

Changelog for 3.91 in the OP says 10 quests. So just the one additional quest.

Both are using the additions since 3.81, one has nine new from that point, the other has one more.

I haven't played 3.91 yet, only the 3.90 test build, so I don't know what the new quest is.
