No I'm not gay.

I like variety I just don't like feeling overwhelmed with LIs because after a while it gets hard to keep track of them.

That kind if game would be cool but I would be overwhelmed by all the LIs & struggle to keep track of it, even if it is complete freedom of choice. But you do you (y)
The Gay comment wasn't intended to be taken seriously, I apologize if that's not how it came across

The thing about the perfect game as I envisage it, isn't about the ability to claim multitudes of women into your harem, but the ability to reject as many as you want, restrict the selection to only the ones that actually turn you on (multiple playthroughs might see you choosing different women depending on how your tastes change over time). I love Peasants Quest because it is good at presenting an illusion that you can do what you want, it's just unfortunate that, that illusion can also kill your game, for example I never liked the original Beth, so my choice to ignore her would destroy my journey until I bit the bullet and dated her.

I would play Struggle With Sin if

1) The characters didn't all look like PS2 era Sims. The models just don't do it for me.

2) There was less women. I'm probably gonna piss off some folk but theirs like over 40+ something LIs in that game & it just feels overwhelming. I like that each girl in PQ is given some development room (if that makes sense?)
I only play ASWS because of the story. I have to say it's really well written cause i also didn't like the visuals at first but guess the story got me hooked

First: wasn't offended. I too was trying to be light hearted & point out the obvious (seeing as I'm discussing a game about impregnating a harem of women lol)

The only problem with a game like that is it would still suffer the same fate as PQ & ASWS, which is many players will most likely have to wait a LONG time for the girl(s) they want to have content. Still not a bad idea though.

I agree I feel originally many girls were ment to be side path only but as the story became more interconnected keeping centenary paths separate became harder. And at the point it's at now theres not much Tinkerer can do. I feel having side girls who can be pursued at will would be nice & they would give a bonus to finishing her path (like Maghda's Cave Flower garden)

If you don't want or like NTR, ASWS has none. It has a literal switch that turns it all off in the options if you want.
I wasn't aware of that, and haven't tried ASWS since it's tagged with NTR.
2. PQ has 34. ASWS currently has 40.
How many are mandatory for ASWS? In PQ only 9 are (currently) required for the Main, 10 if you include Qetesh. Plus three more you don't have to pursue past a certain point. The others are entirely optional.
Tower: Erevi, ED, Imp, Venomina, Naamah
Temple: Ziva, Caleah, Julia, Alice; maybe Qetesh
Limited: Beth (up through the date), Liandra (rescue her from the Grumpkins...you're going to need sacred water for EFPs if nothing else), Maghda (never have to see her again after getting Edgar's stuff)

If you're using Cheatmode you don't have to meet Liandra at all to complete the Main, but most players do her content anyway. (Technically you don't have to sacrifice to Naamah after her quests are over but I suspect that would be a bad idea when the Main storyline conclusion happens...)

2.0) not a fan of ntr. I can live with sharing scenes if there non optional if the game isn't ntr heavy but I won't play games if I have forced ntr against the mc. Either let me turn it off or give me a fighting chance to stop it. Again this is just my personal preference.
It's not an issue of punishment in ASWS, the game strictly caters to the fetish if you want it. With NTR on, you have to chose to open it up. Think of it as in game reward for doing extra game work to get the reward of in character punishment for those that like that sort of thing.

Julia - you tell her she is bad at sex, she goes and looks for partners to practice with. She is one of the easiest to unlock the NTR.

Mira - during a trip to a monastery you advance another LI first. Then you wait to find Mira masturbating at like midnight, you choose to start masturbating from the hallway. Heather (the other LI) walks out and catches you. You have to chose to go to Heathers room with her, and choose to leave Mira's door open, and choose to leave Heathers door open.

Mira then finishes and goes to see why her door is open, and sees Heathers door is open.

Back at home Mira tells you she spied on you fucking Heather. She asks if it is cool if she fucks around. If you tell her yes, at a time that she usually studies (is inaccessible to the MC) she starts fooling around with another dude. You can watch if you want.

If you tell her no, she can't fool around, she doesn't.

All of the NTR is that convoluted, you have to take a whole bunch of steps to set up the story to why the LI would cheat on the MC.

So ASWS does not run against your feelings of NTR, it only happens if you actively make it happen, even with the switch on.

I went a little more in depth about the NTR above, most of my saves have 0 NTR, and I put the switch on just in case. In reality it isn't really NTR. It voyeurism reward for the player. Punishment for the MC, but only because the player chose to punish the MC. And the dev takes the being able to turn it all off pretty seriously. Recently a player found a scene that can be triggered after you take five steps (that you would only do to get an NTR scene) even with the NTR switch off, the dev patched that out immediately.

The mandatory is kind of tricky, because it works differently. A lot differently. None of them in ASWS have to be pursued to get to the story end, but more so than PQ, ASWS quest content is tied to fully unlocking the LI's. The gates on progression and opening of new LI's are tied progressing LI's, but that is pretty much just the courting stage. There are a few exceptions.

It is worth knowing, there isn't special pastries or aweing, what there is the MC's super natural cum. It turns LI's into sluts. Most of the courting is working your way to getting head, once you get it in her mouth, you can repeat that until the LI is fine with your fucking her mom in front of her.

Mira you pretty much just have to kiss her (she was initially designed to be the MC's sweet heart, but she has taken a back seat as the story has expanded) to unlock every bit of her content. But that also means taking a more noble route, during a major point of change in the game, you would have to side with the church.

When siding with Syfa a succubus, is the much more fun route, to get the Syfa end, You have to fully corrupt, Mira, Bridget and Heather.

So in just that instance, you don't have to court any LI's to get to Mira's current end point (after getting Mira to kiss you). But the fuller fun gameplay end means you have to court three and get Syfa for free.

--

In order to get your house upgraded, you either have to knock up Mira's mom, and build her an orphanage. Or get the prudish farm daughter to fall in love with enough to give up her vag virginity. (She gives up her B hole pretty easily). After she falls in love with you you can renovate her farm. Either renovation of Emily or Penny, allows the MC to upgrade his house.

This is one of the few instances where you have to fully unlock an LI to get the reward associated with her.

--

There is a witch that if you fuck a whole lot, like a lot alot, I cheat it, but it's like 15 times, you can start to get magic spells. The spells are one way to complete some other difficult tasks, but not the only way to complete them. The witch isn't as bad as Ziva in witch form but close, a lot of players skip her. I don't because the spells are handy and fully unlocking the witch opens up her sister to being a maid for your house.

--

So really you can skip any LI, you won't get as cool rewards, or as full as an experience but if you don't like an LI, don't court her.

Their are some progression gates, but they are more story quest then LI romanced unlocks.

I think we should stop arguing here. Both games have their own direction that the Dev wants to go, they have their own pros and cons, and neither game is perfect. We just need to be kind and enjoy both while we can. Because no one can predict tomorrow.

We are not arguing. It's more a discussion. I don't think anyone is getting upset, game bashing or forcing their views. I was corrected where I had made a misinformed statement & Damagus01 was inquiring about the new info. No hard feelings or bad blood as far as I can tell.

I certainly wasn't, and it didn't feel like anyone was doing that towards me. In fact I'm probably going to check out ASWS sometime soon based on the new info. One of the pitfalls of the tags is you can't tell if something is core to the game, a minor element, or available but entirely avoidable.

The discourse here is pretty civil overall, seen some that most definitely were not...

I was making an argument, but wasn't upset. Just thought that two players I respect here are missing out by not enjoying a game I think they would enjoy.

If someone in the ASWS forum was hesitant to play PQ, I would make the same argument there. I am in support of enjoying both games, not putting one above the other.

Bug in the carpentry:sick:

Someone is experiencing this bug.
I went into Marcus's carpentry shop and got stuck in this closet. There's no way out.
It looks like I'm going to lose a bunch of quests I've done.
I only have three saves, and if I use them, I'm screwed, I'll lose everything I've ever done... before these final updates, this never happened. Instead of improving the game, bugs just appear where they never existed, what a shame.

I'm not using anything. I downloaded this last VS and it froze MC inside this closet as soon as I entered the store.

I played this game a while back and this never happened before.

I decided to download it again and play this new content because I heard that a lot of new stuff has been added to the game recently.

Find out the reason why Marcus's shop is laid out funny and you will likely find the cause of your bug.

I am not talking about the three grey pieces (that are for your bat breeder).

I do wonder why you jumped to this conclusion " Instead of improving the game, bugs just appear where they never existed" when it is not something that others are experiencing, and is something wonky within your game, that may or may not been caused by you.

Please find the screenshot of what the carpenters shop looks like in my game, it's functional. For whatever reason, almost every aspect is different. Yours is slightly wider, a lot longer (your screenshot doesn't even show Marcus's back wall), flooring is a different color, wall border is a different color, and furniture pieces are laid out completely different. The fact that you are stuck in a piece of furniture tells me this layout issue is what is bugged in your save.

How old is your save? Marcus.png

Since we are talking about it. Is there a reason why the circle table and green chair block the entrance?

It's nothing I would ever decry about the game, but at the same time, I find running into that obstacle annoying every time I need to talk to Marcus.

It's not a complaint, but I do wonder why the layout is dumbly arranged ever time I enter.

The bed alone is enough of a Chekov's gun if that is what Tinkerer after, but I think he just wants a busy showroom for the carpenter.

My vote is to nix the circle table and green chair, but I am only voicing this thought because we are already talking about it.

You can turn ntr off in Asws and even with it turned on you can prevent it. Ntr in that game is more a punishment that you kind of have to force to happen and is pretty easily avoidable even without trying very hard. I can't think of any real times in that game that ntr would sneak up on you other than maybe losing a fight with women in your party, but that's easily stopped just by turning ntr off. Storywise most of the mc's love interests are loyal mc unless you intentionally piss them off.
Yeah, I always cheat resources into Rumah so that I can handle the Orcs easily. I think I could win the battles easily enough not to see them fuck my women, but since I haven't actually done it without cheats for a few years, I can't be absolutely sure.

That is the only hole in my no NTR in ASWS with the switch on argument. Switch off, no problem.
