Because it was too early. He was building support. AN is anomaly in PS universe,no NTR/raping/blackmail. He is restraining himself doing (romantic) mom/son slow story till he calculated that he has enough support. Voting wasnt about how story should go (he knows what he want with story from start),t was about counting nonincest support.Chapter 10 was time he calculated that is time to start moving story in direction he allways wanted.Chapter 8 was about trying to convert some incest fans to "freesex" style,he didnt convert anyone but managed to drag it enough that some ppl wanted any action ASAP. Some ppl would be happy that in chapter 10 was Pete instead Rory with Brandy.

Maybe that might be why AN is his most popular comic. No NTR/raping/blackmail/humiliation but an interesting story line involving a mother and son, hence the hashtags incestlove, momson, incesttaboo.
If not, then why have them? If his artistic vision was bulletproof then he wouldn’t need any polls in order to gain support. As an example, if his original intention was to have Brandi and Rory to have sex, then made a poll about them having sex, but the vast majority voted no instead of yes, then he would be forced to deviate from his original plan, which means, his actions are based off of the poll results. If he would have proceeded with his own plans, then he would risk losing subscribers/support.
I’m not surprised he failed with that one, considering he set off AN as an #momson, #incesttaboo, #incestlove comic from day 1 but then all of a sudden tried to convert incest fans over to freesex fans, failed and draged on the story to make people ask for any action. I don’t think anyone would be critical of PS if he declared his intentions, incest -> freesex, from the very begining.
I don’t mind seeing Brandi having sex with other men. I’m not saying Brandi should be locked to Dylan for the entire lifespan of AN. After all, Dylan had sexual intercourse with other women, so why shouldn’t Brandi? That’s not my issue. My issue with AN is the humiliation aspect which takes place in chapter 10 which is why I’m critical of AN/PS.

How can you really tell if poll results are true? Only minority of ppl that voted post opinion in subscribestar chat. He can show poll results anyway he wants,so he isnt forced by anything.

Somehow I think this statement should be followed by an evil laugh lol. I still can't shake the feeling that big bad slut Gina isn't done with Brandi's "slut" training yet.
