True. It's a pattern that whenever a dev strongly insists on a certain release date, it's doomed to postpone. I don't mind the postponing because what's another 2 days.....in a month, we'd have waited a whole year for part 1 of the remake. After part 2 and 3, we're only resuming the main story in 2028.

So, IMO, just don't make promises.
Keep us updated on the game, post teases, keep working on it. Only say a release date when it is ready to release.

FIY dev has postponed 5 times in a row. All his post on patreon/Subscribestar was always about few more days and then dropping few pictures as bone to a dog. once or twice is fine but 5 times is a lot when you actually making promises. So kindly keep sit aside and dont defend what you cannot account for.

If you read my comment (the one you quoted) you would see it started with an apology and continues to ridicule the dev for his behaviour.

We pay to get something in return. It is not a charity. If dev does not provide upto expectations then he is at fault and should either fulfill his promises or stop posting. However you, I dont know what you defending. Is dev your daddy?? I think yes and maybe that is why your ass is burning like crazy. Don't get mad, get yourself some candy rather than whinning for daddy

Since you are pretty new on here I will give you the benefit of the doubt. When a dev does a remake that is a sign they are running out of ideas and/or are burned out and no longer want to develop the game and telling everyone they are making a remake is so they can continue to milk their subscribers and not get an abandoned tag on f95.
If the dev continues to delay an update at 18 months it will get an abandoned tag no matter how much the dev blabs on about how the update will be coming soon on his subscribestar/patreon which ever one he is on or in his discord, until the dev actually posts an update.

It will pretty nice to have someone kind enough to release it.I really like the first version and hope that remake will be worth the waiting.
