You can choose "download anyway" or "allow". Then, just drag/drop the files into VirusTotal to check and make sure. Nothing bad will happen as long as you don't run any executables.

Not that easy because defender just deletes the file altogether. Made an exception for the "virus" now and try again. Never thought downloading smut can be that annoying lmao

Maybe your settings are extra strict. Windows and Firefox didn't even flag it for me, Virustotal was all clear, and Bob just uploaded a compressed version. You could try that one?

Made an exception for the "trojan" in windows defender, downloaded, unpacked, took the exception away again. It flags the rar file on download but not after it downloaded. I think defender is on drugs or something lmao

Windows Defender is one of a few anti-viruses that are a little overtuned and jumpy. It makes them worse because you can't really trust if whatever they're deleting is actually a virus or an innocent file that happens to make a system call for some reason or another - and there are plenty of perfectly valid reasons to do so.

That's why I keep Malwarebytes around. I have Windows Defender set to not delete a damn thing, but if it pings I can set Malwarebytes on the file and see if that pings too. If both pings I know it's probably a virus, and if only defender pings I know it's just something to be cautious about and to watch my CPU usage and such.

My advice is to just never ever rely on one antivirus, period. Stacking two antivirus programs, even shitty ones, will always get you better coverage than even the best antivirus on the market working alone.
