I want to say it happened on a couple of saves, but I already finished playing and deleted so I can't go back and check. There was one in particular where I know it gave me trouble though. I saved at street level before entering the subway when you go to the casino, and when I tried to load it was hanging to the point where I closed out, restarted, and tried loading again at least a couple of times. I don't know if perhaps there was something wrong with that particular save, or what.

Related to that save, one time I got it to load, entered the subway area, but for some reason even though the image was the one in front of the subway restrooms all of the clickable areas (pretty sure that isn't the technical term) were from the living room. I don't know if the way I described it makes sense, but moving the cursor around the screen in that map/restroom area, I'd get the text pop-up for living room/library/kitchen/etc.

Oh, so there is a known issue with saves at that specific spot; I put it in the known issues but I guess that wasn't posted here. There's an engine bug that the position of a panned screen doesn't save, so it kind of makes things seem all messed up, but only really at that particular point. I was hoping for the engine issue to get patched out but I might just have to develop a workaround myself rather than waiting for it.

The behaviour you're describing does admittedly sound a little weird, but I suspect it's probably because of that bug.

Is it at start up or at any particular scenes? Or is it just kind of unpredictable?
I can't do anything about it right now regardless, but I might be able to use the information in the future if you notice any kind of pattern.
Apart from that, though, I'm glad you're enjoying the game.

I have been having this issue as well, the only time I have been able to replicate it was when I finished the intro (exploring the apartment after coming back and being told about where to train stats). It has happened in other scenes but I haven't noticed anything specific yet.

Edit: played through a bit more and encountered black screen issues again, this time after finishing the casino memory. I am running on a 64-bit system but honestly not the best hardware so it may just be a hardware issue. Will give a couple more shots and maybe try the html see if it works better for me.

If all else fails, I will just be waiting until things get better as I know this game will come out well based on your previous products

I have black screen issues as well. Mine happen after the girls become dateable. as soon as they leave the room the transistion goes to a black screen and never recovers.

to update I have 16g of ram but noticed this game takes up 3 gigs on its own. I was running a lot of stuff, shut down some things and then it ran better.

Hmm, I've been working hard to optimise it, but this sounds like it might be an engine issue. I'll look into it.

If you can't get the Windows version to work I'd suggest trying the HTML version, which will run in a web browser.

Switching engines means a full design overhaul, but I've only actually been receiving these black screen complaints just now in this thread, so it's probably something quite fixable.

I would still just suggest you try downloading the HTML version instead if you're having trouble with the Windows version. It runs in web browsers and does not (so far as I'm aware) produce this black screen error.

(And maybe just to clarify for anyone else reading the thread, I haven't replicated any black screen errors myself, or got any complaints like that in any of the previous versions.)

I'm guessing all the women depicted in the image on your Patreon are going to be romanceable characters?

If my math skills haven't completely atrophied, that's a total of 9 ladies. Are they all going to be considered main characters? And since we're on the topic spoilers, is the story going to focus more on the harem route or single heroine routes? If they're all going to receive the same amount of attention the project is shaping up to be quite ambitious, and I'm quite interested on how MC is going to convince them all to be his girlfriends and not go full School Days on his ass. Then again, audentes fortuna iuvat.

I like both the presentation, as well as the use of sound and music, the VA is serviceable, though I understand better actresses are well outside the scope of the budget of this project. The interface could use some work, especially concerning navigating the apartment. It would be far more simple to have a list of icons with all the rooms at the bottom of the screen to "teleport" around the place.

As for the writing, it's very good, there's an instant hook and the story keeps the reader/player engaged, the three girls currently in the game all have distinctive and attractive personalities, look visually appealing and actually behave like real humans. One thing I was a tad puzzled about is why the protagonist is butt-naked when he wakes up in the hospital. Did Shizu take away his blanket and gown to film him or something?

Also, the little tidbits about the city you've spread throughout the scenes really help ground the story and ground it, so that's another thing I'm pretty impressed about.

Hey, apologies if this has already been asked, but I keep running into two issues. Firstly, it seems like the game hangs up 50% of them time whenever it needs to load a new scene or something, as I've had it freeze loading the main screen, starting a new game, and switching from the prologue to the intro/tutorial section. I'll concede maybe I have too much going on sometimes and the hardware is too taxed. Secondly, it 100% freezes when I try to load a save regardless of anything I do to try and minimize what's running on my computer, and whatever save I try to load. Aside from getting a better pc, any recommendations?

Thanks for the positive comments; I'm particularly glad to hear you like the writing. The interface might get some redesign as the project develops too; there's some changes I'd like to make, so long as I can get the time. To your questions: no, there won't be nine fully romanceable characters, but there will be more than the initial three. I don't want to give definite spoilers in part because I might change my plans part way through, but I've already confirmed Mika is coming (the blonde with tanlines and cutoffs on the right of the poster) and I've got plans for others. You'll notice in the game, though, that Kumi already appears in a significant role (the redhead in the middle back) and while she's involved in a sex scene, she's not a romanceable character. So there's some of those too. Why was Shuji naked at the start? Well, you probably need to give me a little artistic license there, but the idea was that he'd been recently examined naked and his blanket had slipped off.

Yes, it has been addressed above. I'm not sure what the source of the problem is yet but you can play the HTML version instead, which runs in your web browser. I haven't received any reports of trouble with that version, so I have to assume it's a problem in the Windows version only at the moment. I don't know - maybe I mistakenly exported it as a 32 bit version or something; I can't investigate until I get home.

It is implemented; you need to see all four flashbacks with her from the subway map, then have 100 or more in both love and trust with her. Then it triggers at night.

It should just be the index.html, yeah. You say you're getting a black screen at start up with that too? That's... well, that's not great news. It's increasingly sounding like some kind of bug in the engine. It'll take some consultation with the engine developers to do anything about this. In the meantime you could try starting it up again; maybe that would help.

I really would have preferred this version hadn't leaked because I'm not at home and I can't address this bug right now. I wanted to make a public release of the next version after I'd had more time to work on testing and make sure it was ready.

I'll concede to the possibility perhaps it is to do with my computer if it is a loading issue, because I did let it sit and try to load for five or more minutes on a few occasions and it didn't seem to budge.

It definitely shouldn't be that long; it sounds like it stalled in your case.

Ah, that's an interesting insight. It is possible that the browser might affect the performance.
