Ok now that I shared the possible ways of how to improve the game mechanism-wise, this time around I want to discuss the progression of the story
I replayed the game 3 times and I have to say certain elements feel fast-forward than they actually should be.
The best example is with the wife ...to me personally if feels so fast-moving starting with her saying "I couldn't sleep the whole night thinking about you" portraying a caring/worried/supportive wife to immediately change and become someone who isn't shy of over sexualizing herself, tricking the mc into accepting her...flirting with her college crush
Especially when before that we have (as Mr player) choices that either would encourage her into this flirty route with her college dude who had a crush on her or be completely against it and do it only as the last results
An example of that would be when the lawyer suggested the wife talk with DA for the first time and especially about the second meeting
The player got to choose between "ok I'll allow the second meeting but no fitting" and "ok sure... I have no other choice" w/o any complaints or setting boundaries bout the flirting situation
Therefore I believe that the scene of the wife trying to trick the MC into accepting her going in that dress shouldn't be happening....at the very least delayed depending on the player's previous choices ...
If the latter is an option..it can create a more realistic scenario, it would be a better way of dragging the story and creating more "secretive meetings" as an excuse for a slow change
We all know what the endpoint would be like, it just going to be appreciated more by the players if they feel they reached that state naturally rather than being enforced/rushed into it
So in a nutshell what I'm suggesting is to have a locked base choice system
So if u were against the idea of meeting up with her crush and more so again the idea of her flirting the moment the wife asked "So can I go with this dress" there should be a choice that would lock that scene from happening, evidently delaying the inevitable at best....On the other hand, if u were pro-flirting and her reaching out to him there should be a choice where you would accept her proposition
Not only this would help with all the branches you are setting up in your game but also helps progress the story more smoothly and any changes can just be explained by "Oh we had a back-and-forth text msgs or we had secretive meetings" .....etc
