The rest of the players know Photo Hunt is not created by a large dev studio and that the game is big, working on such a big game takes time.

Now that said it might change quick if the delays keep happening like they have for the past year and counting.

We always get a good product, updates are larger compared to other developers, there are lots of sex scenes, and extra scenes, wallpapers and remakes of old scenes make it something to wait for

The amount of renders, animations, and dialogue we get for each update in the pre-delay era was uncontested for sure.
Don't think the game ever had an update that was bad or disappointing which is pretty much unheard of for a game with this many updates to its name.
For the most part people who are curious about just a girl seem to be very fine with just waiting for them to get their individual update and for us that like all the girls we just get treated every update which really adds to how little hostility this thread has compared to almost all of F95 these days.

My only real concern is the fact that this update is only half the size of a regular update but has managed to push past the development time of a normal full-sized update which will hurt the value a lot.

Of course you can compare with bad games, but if you start comparing with the best:
Eternum - 1650 images in 8 months,
Pale Carnation - 3650 images in 9 months,
BaDik - if I remember correctly, there will be 7500 images in 14 months.
PHoto hunt - 263 images in 4 months. If you think what's happening with the latest updates is normal and you can wait more, okay

All of the game you just listed use 4-5 renders to what this game uses in 1 render cause they render out each expression change every 2-3 sentences.
Using the delay and the fact that this latest update is only half the size of a normal update is really unfair too.

So if we go by pre-delay numbers this game would do about 1500-2000 unique renders in 12 months which would technically be more output then the ones you listed.

All these games are made by big development studios
You can compare PH Dev with large developer studios that have computers worth $12,000 each (or more) and dozens of people employed, it's very fair
Of course, one small developer should be able to provide as much content as a huge development studio!

I don't know if you know, but all renders for Fiona update (0.19) are also ready, along with extra events.
If you think that creating a game alone or in two people team is easy, then okay.....

There is only a couple scenes left to put in the game, and I'm finishing a rewrite of them right now, if I finish it today then GreenJ should need only a few days to finish the build

I have a few theories about this.
It's possible that the old and best writer (you know who i'm talking about) has to correct the dialogues after the previous amateur writer who screwed up the dialogues and that's why he's doing so slowly
The second theory is that the update is small to prepare the game for changes in the UI and the game code.
It's also possible that the Fiona update will contain a lot of connections to other characters (including Grace, maybe) and they wanted to prepare everything at the same time as the Grace update.
