i visited school in morning and there was a skylar scene where she is playing some racing game but i got an exception there. is it safe to ignore? srry im not good at this stuff

I'm basically just seeing if I should hold off or not. I'm just curious if you can "seal the deal" yet, as it were. There's so much space between these updates, that I barely remember who's who, or what's going on by the time the next update hits. All the games kind of start to blend together in my head at a certain point.

Continuity is not really good here anyway. Since the plot is not linear, you have repetitive scenes that make little or no sense in the dynamic with the character later on. Possibly this will be replaced with alternative scenes in the code at some point, but so far this has had relatively low priority in development.

The 'take special pictures for Jen' event lists Grace as a target but complains I dont know her number and need to gift her a phone. I've had 2 spare phones in my inventory since forever in game and they dont show up in Graces gift list. Bitch also didnt want the flowers I did gift her.

Dont have the game ask me to gift grace a phone if you wont LET ME GIFT HER THE PHONE even when I got multiple spares. Circumvented the problem with dev console but should still be looked into

Of course he made it so, it wouldn't be so otherwise.
Sorry, but if the dev makes a game where tasks can be done without given order then his code must respect that.
If it doesn't it's a bug that can be fixed. Other devs manage to do that as well. And also THIS one fixed such bugs, just not all of them.
He may or may not want to fix these, but saying there's nothing to fix since he made it so, that actually sound kinda religious: "It will happen for it is written, it wouldn't be written otherwise."

If we only created new software without fixing the bugs in our existing versions .... our customers would throw lawsuits on us.

like said earlier things that happen in home don't have relevance to school or things happen at rm don't effect things at home etc.

sure those could be "fixed" but then that would mean that needs to do it on both paths (love and corruption) on many characters.

The repeatable scenes are only there for the people crying "why can't i redo scenes" that was meant to only be a one time scene thats near the start of the game and never to been seen again, if YOU choose to "redo" an earlier scene thats on you not on the dev, the only point of repeatable scenes is to see the exact same scene again nothing more nothing else. you as the player can choose to just not do repeatable scenes, their basically just meant as an in-game "mini" gallery, or a place holder until more story elements advance, and seeing as Rachel's story hasn't been touched in forever she has a bunch of place holders right now.

Its mind numbingly trivial to fix bugs like this. Its literally less than a half dozen lines of code and that includes the dialog itself for both logic branches. There is no excuse not to fix a broken scene when its less than a minute of effort

You talk about it as if it's a memories or a gallery, but it's part of the gamplay and as such it should be adressed.
And no, no one cries for repeatable scenes without sexual interaction, those are a tool to stretch the play time.
As I said, since the order of the events is not given, some of these scenes might be seen for the first time after the circumstances already changed. If that should not be possible, then there should be a flag for that. Really, it's nothing that would drive Sysiphus crazy, it only has to be done. Such checks are only a lot of work if the checks are not encapsulated in the first place and that's something all programmers know how to do it. There is no gameplay reason not do do it, it's just a question of "want". This dev might not be in the mood to update his old code to fix bugs, which is his decision. But it's nothing that should be defended.

I had about the same thought. The hardest part would be to find the right flags. In the time we spent talking about this bug, it would have already been fixed.

"has nothihng to do with the story elements of the game" ... that's exactly the problem. It contains information that is inconsistent with the events of the game. After a certain event the information would have to change. As an alternative the scene could be removed. It's not important anyway and there are others for the same action that don't contain inconsistent information.
If he didn't intend to let the player chose in what order to play the events, he probably would have made a VN like everyone else. But he did.
I accept that he doesn't fix the bug, no worries. He doesn't want to, fine by me. I was just surprised that someone would defend a minor mistake like this one. I have seen by far worse bugs, some caused by me and sometimes costing a lot of money. But that's what insurances are for

Sorry but you are talking out of complete ignorance. That is NOT how it is. It is TRIVIALLY easy to make the scene both repeatable AND have it change based on current conditions. Code wise it is elementary school level programming. Its just logic branches to look at a value and proc dialog based on that value (which would be flags such as if this is the first time the scene was seen, which characters might still be virgins, anything). The only difficult part is deciding what to do. The code is stupid easy.

And just in case you think I'm talking out my ass and making this up, it took me one evening to literally fix about 200 or so of these bugs in another game I was playing just last week.

One revenge scene where you are returning violence back on a character who deserves it that hits the gray area no matter what and has avoidable full-on penetration. The mood of the scene is at stockholm syndrome levels so its not "as disgustingly evil as it could be" but its not innocent or full consent.

There is another scene where one character fucks the MC while he's sleeping. Many would consider that rape.
