These are not download links.
This is an encrypted signature from the developer.
With the help of this signature you can check whether the archive with the game is authentic from the developer, or in the archive someone added something or changed, like viruses.
This digital signature is useful only if you already have an archive with a new update.
In all other cases, it's just information that will not help you download the new update.

As for the public release, it will most likely be available here, on the 21st-25th of this month.

It's an encryption hash (may have fucked up terminology I haven't done encryption since school) basically you can use that to check against your copy to ensure you're not playing a version uploaded by a dickhead, who added shit to the code.

Aside from that, the renders are great, the writing is good, I would recommend this to anyone if this is your thing. I can see Effx going far if they keep with it, looking forward to maybe playing a different game by them

This is just a sha256 checksum. it has nothing to do with encryption.
Besides you cant decrypt a sha256 hashed checksum and find the data.
Encryption is a two part thing. involving a decrypt part aswell. this does not have that.

Absolutely rightly noted. But in such cases it is necessary to explain what it is and what it is for. Not everyone understands and not everyone knows.

Regarding drugs, I'm not sure whether it's worth changing anything - it's up to the developers to decide, but superpowers would be very useful. In the doc's lab, some gas changes the character's DNA and superpowers appear - something like that...
