Thanks for the update , it's really shocking news. He created the things in his own style.we really miss himIf Anyone Missed This.
no... it is more a burnout issue. That's not the reason right
No it is not. Patreon now requires all adult content creators to upload an official ID or a copy of their passport so as to list them under a list of 'purveyors of sexual content' or in short a ' sex worker' as defined by US law which governs Patreon, a US company. Being Ukrainian, if or when he applies for a US visa he will have to answer YES to the question whether he is or has ever been a 'sex worker' and if he replies NO the US state department will deny his visa because Patreon has already listed him as a provider of sex content. If he replies YES the State dept may refuse him a visa because in their opinion he may come to the USA to provide such immoral sex products. For the money he was making it was not a risk worth taking.no... it is more a burnout issue.
I've heard of no such Patreon rule being implemented. Source? No it is not. FWIW once you're listed1 you're screwed cause you'll never get off 2 all countries that share travel information will list you as a current or past sex worker.
2 second Google search. Do you honestly think a company as big as patreon is going to allow randoms to monetise and post sexual content on there website willy-nillyI've heard of no such Patreon rule being implemented. Source?
I hope developers of cartoon porn can find another way to make money because a lot of real-life people in this genre of porn aren't high definition camera acceptable2 second Google search. Oh wow ^^ Didn't realize that was reason. Why not just migrate over to subscribestar? I think quite a few devs use that, If I'm not mistaken. No it is not. Because Subscribestar requires same official documentation to set up what it says is its billing and payout facility. In either case someone is going to have your official documentation working in the 'sex' industry. It's really FU.Oh wow ^^ Didn't realize that was reason. Why not just migrate over to subscribestar? You think all the do-gooders would prefer us pervs watching cartoon porn so that real people wouldn't be getting exploitedBecause Subscribestar requires same official documentation to set up what it says is its billing and payout facility. Oh I see. That's too bad. So... just throwing ideas out. What if he had a 'buymeacoffee' account. Then people could 'donate' monthly like they do on Patreon or Subscribestar. He would have to advertise it here, or other forums as he wouldn't be able to post content there. It would be purely for donations. And of course, the money wouldn't be as good, as you would then be working on a type of honor system. But possible? And then when the game is done, Stream/Itch release I suppose?Because Subscribestar requires same official documentation to set up what it says is its billing and payout facility. The Buymeacoffee option is viable but will bring in maybe 10% of subs level cash. There is really no 'honor' amongst pirates. People who sub are usually people with raging hardons and a fetish who can't wait for self gratification. Itch at the moment is ID free but takes ages to payout and have to fill out US tax forms like W-BEN and W8 if I'm not mistaken on the forms.Oh I see. That's too bad. So... just throwing ideas out. And you're right, that is really messed up that a visual novel, or video game, or even an adult story writer for that matter, would be considered "sex workers" the same as an onlyfans model or even a prostitute. It's a lot like marijuana being considered a Schedule 1 drug, the same as heroin. It's just not the same thing.
So basically going directly to Steam (or Itch even though it's a pain) would be the only way to do it without creators being branded as "sex workers?"The Buymeacoffee option is viable but will bring in maybe 10% of subs level cash. Steam requires ID for payouts and also all receipts for ANY asset, be it Daz, audio or other, have to be produced to even be considered for publication. It really makes devs go through hoops but the money on Steam is the best, that's why most successful devs move to Steam asap.
It's the conservative agenda of most US states that is pushing platforms to punish 'sex' and to discourage any creative impulse in that area. That has a rebound effect on the rest of the world. It's a pity China is just as repressed, if not more, otherwise there would have been an alternative. European companies just tread the US line because they fear losing US business opportunities. So let's enjoy our rapidly declining liberties for the moment, one day f95zone might need a Tor browser and access via the dark net.
Don't know about Renderotica. So basically going directly to Steam (or Itch even though it's a pain) would be the only way to do it without creators being branded as "sex workers?"
What about Renderotica? I see people can sell comics, novels, and games on there.
