A Night in Liyue - Prank Gone Wrong WiP #7c


Couple more sexy scenes to go and this "montage" is done!... this still counts as a montage right?

Now that I don't have to get a post up strictly every month, I finally had the opportunity to just sit down and do some writing stuff!

Although the entire storyline is already (vaguely) finished in my head. I still get overwhelmed whenever I try to keep track of all of the scenes and plot points that has happened, as well as those that will. Making the process of planning the scene by scene writing, pretty confusing. Especially now that there's a bunch more characters to keep track off. And even a subplot going on at the same time.

So I spent a few days writing all of it down in a neat flow chart, including the events of Part 2. (

what it looks like if ur wonderin'... But don't look too hard, coz I blurred it anyway :p)

Tho the main plot points are pretty much set in stone now, I kept the sexy parts vague so that I can retain that flexibility, incase I get inspired to make some new kinky stuff :3

I also took the time to watch all of the previous scenes from start to present!.. And ngl, the first WiPs were kinda hard to watch XD

Scenes that I previously thought was good enough to be a Polished WiP, wouldn't even pass as a First-Draft WiP nowadays XD... And same goes for the writing! With some of the older dialogues tending to be too on the nose or pretty confusing.

But on the bright side! Now that I'm able to spot these mistakes. That just means that I've improved quite a bit since then :3... I'll just go back and give them a much needed touch-up once I'm done with the final scenes :p

On another note! I also made the VA guide video for WiP 6c! (

it is if you wanna take a look at what the actresses have to work with, minus my placeholder voiceovers :p)
I've sent this to the actresses a while ago. And if everything goes smoothly, I should be getting the voice-overs pretty soon, as well as the sfx :3

And lastly! I tried using Resolve's AI Upscaler for this one!

Usually, I would render the scenes at half scale (540p) in blender for the First-draft WiPs, since it's much faster. And since the file sizes are so smol, it also doesn't slow down Resolve while I'm working with it, unlike a full 1080p render.
And I would only render at 1080p once I'm fully finished doing all the polishing and lighting for a Polished WiP like this one... However, it takes a lot of time to render and the bigger file sizes slows down Resolve's playback speed.

But recently, Resolve launched a built in Upscaler!.. And so I tried it out and was pretty impressed!

It managed to upscale my 540p renders to something on par with a 1080p! Meaning that I can skip rendering at 1080p in blender, saving me a day of rendering :3
On top of that, I can just turn it off with a flick of a button to speed up playback in Resolve, whenever I have to go back and do some editing for that scene!
Best of both worlds :3

It does take longer to render the final video, and my GPU certainly didn't sound very happy while doing so. But hey! I'll take it XD

And yeah, that's about it!.. Imma go and get Bennet's skin now and record the placeholder dubs for this WiP later :p
