Huh, you're right... Could have been something as simple as too much negativity though. Last Patreon/SS post was December 6th though, so i wouldn't be too worried just yet.
I don't want to be negative towards this game nor Abelius personally and If he will invest some of the patreon support back to this game on writer / game designer i will feel bad for being negative, i truly will. Until then tho... i will stay pragmatic.
If you support someone on patreon or elsewhere you have to understand that it's not a just some tip for work, you invest into someone and if he decide to be and act like a scumbag it's your fault and only yours.

Also, I find it strange that Abelius has deleted ALL his posts on F95..

That's a little worrisome.. If he doesn't want to actively engage with a community that pirates his work and is largely critical of his release cycles, that is understandable in a way - if he's gonna take shit from anyone it should be people that pay his bills.

But deleting post history is a bit sketchy - it removes context / explanation / commitment in dialogues that happened in this thread. I know the author is very hostile to Patreon content being leaked but - F95 is also a huge free marketing platform that sky rockets your game in page rank & discoverability - and I think the community has mostly respected his efforts by not leaking <current_version>.

If the creator isn't going to engage in the community anymore or update this thread - I guess I'll unwatch it.. too bad.

I was in the point where FC leaves the massage parlor to touch her pussy.
I'll give the hero a prize...

The game wouldn't be this barebones if the dev was really working 12 hours every day... feels like 12 hours per week instead excluding weekends, or it was just marketing hyperbole to grab attention/exaggerate the amount of effort vs content that actually exists in the game.

I'd say it's a Star Citizen like situation where money is coming in, but the actual product will never be fully released while milking the crap out of the franchise for 10 years. For roughly ~$6K every month, I just don't see the reciprocation in terms of content... 0.10 had one scene and that's it.

Also, I find it strange that Abelius has deleted ALL his posts on F95... I don't know why, maybe wiping the slate clean? Who knows!
It is always the same with these devs and the fanboys. If they start making a ton per month on patreon or subscribestar the development starts to slow down because they want to milk the money cow as long as possible. I don`t only have seen it with one dev but with many over the years and yet there are always fanboys that defend the dev for eternity. Look at Bonestales, fanboys defended that shit for over a year and even still pay to this day money to that guy even though it is dead for an eternity, believing somehow it will still continue.

It is ok to be a fan of a product but god damn don`t just completely shut down your brain and let your emotions speak. This game here may not be abandoned but it is very clear that it is in the "I`m gonna milk that cow with minimal effort" stage and that stage most of the time is the stage before the abandonment stage. Maybe it will be finished in 5 to 10 years but very likely it may also not be and you will just suddenly hear absolutely nothing from the dev ever again, till he comes with another game and repeates the same cycle.

I must admit, although I have no evidence for it.. I find his claim that he works on this game 8 hours a day, 5 days a week - pretty dubious.

It's natural, when you act as your own boss and choose your own deadlines and the money rolls in a-synchronous of any specific feature or deliverable - it becomes very easy to get distracted or do "work" instead of work. Lack of deadlines, milestones or accountability to anyone - removes a lot of pressure to deliver.. something.. or anything.

He even openly admits that when his targets on subscribestar are met, he will drift back to experimental or engine features but when donations start to dwindle, he rolls his sleeves up and starts working on the content that he knows people want.

v0.15 : ??? Can't decide on this one yet. If I don't feel pressure on the income department, I'll probably take a couple of months to fix and revamp the restaurant, so more advanced events can happen like customers going to the restrooms and reacting to Jenny's being there, her restocking drinks, etc.

If I do feel the pressure of releasing novel content, I'll delay this and focus on more non-restaurant content.
His profit incentive should be what his (paying) fans want, not constantly riding the line of juggling his makework features against the amount of subscribers that have come or gone recently. I mean this statement to me shows he absolutely knows what people want but (as I said before) - I think he genuinely doesn't enjoy working on it. He wants to make engine features and solve coding problems not develop new content for his fans to enjoy

Yes I said I would unwatch this thread but I still get notifications and couldn't help myself. :HideThePain:

RIP, he deleted his F95 account and as guessed he was wiping his slate clean

I still remember how he promised 0.11 would come out in October and then it'll be monthly updates after, and yet here we are at end of the year with no regular updates in sight. From DreamingAway's comment above, he's going to take yet another "couple of months" next year :KEK:

Well at least someone can share 0.11 here now freely :Kappa:

Why should he care about what you´ve been thinking was promised to you?

I mean you and most other poison spillers here are probably some broke virgins living in a basement, for whose fapping to gratis porn at least 4x times a day is their only joy in life, and could never pledge a single dollar of their mommy´s pocket money to a game developer anyway, even if he´d provide you with weekly updates.

Enjoy the taste of your own medicine?
Struck a nerve, did I?

He didn't promise anything to "me" personally, it was one of his comments to someone else, you might even find it in the previous pages if somebody quoted it.

As for the rest... Yikes.

This is fundamentally a business transaction.

Users asking for accountability by a developer who wants their money on a monthly basis is not "toxic" or "poison" - it speaks to the developer's credibility. Donation funded projects are not an excuse for the creator to just "do whatever they want".

If I'm gonna finance your lifestyle on a monthly basis, I need to trust what you say.

Most indie games cost around 29.99 for a full game.. Patreon funded games ask you to pay that cost monthly often times for tiny updates or no updates at all and there's a sea of them - there are 1000's and 1000's of developers asking for the same demographic to pay a monthly subscription.

I'm sorry in that ecosystem you need to really 'bring it'. This whole "you get what I decide, when I decide and you better not complain about it" concept is just not acceptable.

Also your post ironically is the most toxic and inflammatory I've read in this entire thread. I've reported it.
