Was this project really abandoned? Before I started developing my own game, I had taken a look at "Pizza Hot!" and had really loved the atmosphere that came from its development, as well as the art, gameplay and story...

It's not abandoned; it's just artificial scarcity. The longer Abelius can perpetually keep the game in development, the longer he can continue milking it. There's no assurance his next project will be a success like this one, so he continues dripfeeding until he can.Was this project really abandoned? Apparently, shrinkflation has hit game development as well. You'll get less content for the same amount of money, and you will be happy. You'll wait for 12 months for a single update, and you will be happy. You'll continue burning your money and get nothing in exchange, and you will be happy.

you should have spent your time elsewhere..
not blaming you..we all know that soon or Later it will be updated...it is just...
that it is a waste of time..abandoned tag should still be there even if updated.

Alright if the update includes more than 3 scenes than I will issue a formal apology to Abelius.
I don't know, giving the dev a pat on the head for *anything* at this point seems like a waste of time. After a whole year, even if there's say, 5 whole new scenes with new assets and new places... That's still less than 1 scene every 2 months that's been worked on.
But hey, if there's a significant amount of content (yeah, right.
) I suppose a "good job" is warranted. Either way, I'm genuinely curious to see what's in the update, maybe it'll give us an actual projection of a time line for the completed project.

Musk on Mars will be “next year”, as he tells us every year, and fusion energy will also be available “soon”, as we have been told since the 1960s.

He was implying that there is no way to know. I think we all were impressed by the speed and attentiveness that Abelius initially did show for this project. We were many who liked the game and at least I had high hopes for this game. Yes the theme is something we have seen before but it is a good one which is easy to vary with some storytelling skills. The difference versus the project is enormous. The few updates have been small and rare, now even dried out totally. The story does not take any interesting twists and everything screems: scam! money grab! Hide your wallet!
