So there are barely any tags, and there are no images showing off anything vaguely pornographic, so I don't really know what this game's deal is

My guess would be that this is the Fate brand of VN where there technically are sex scenes, but they're 100% vanilla and entirely unimportant to the rest of the game.

Can anyone elaborate on it?

I remember this from way back when. No, there isn't any lewd content. This is a Pokemon fan game for Pokemon fans. It's simply a matter of experiencing school life and perhaps dating in the world of Pokemon.
