Poll, how do you usually name the protagonist?

Personally, don't like when games make me pick a last name. I'd rather just avoid the idea altogether. I usually use the first letter of my last name when I must.

Occasionally I stick with default names, but usually I just use my handle, Sonus. If there's a last name option, I just choose whatever last name I'm feeling at the time. One thing I never make an exception on though, is that I never use my real name. Just... makes me feel uncomfortable, if that makes any sense.

Default. If default is blank, then I loudly proclaim the dev a contemptible moron and enter something generic like Jon, Jason, Bob, Alice, Mary, or whatever springs to mind.

I've never been into self-inserting so if the protag has a default name, I leave it like that so they can be their own character. If there is no available default name, I just use my internet nickname.

I never used by irl name in games just random names. Than one day used V and it just stuck.

I name all my namable characters after the greatest superhero of all time - Rapeman. Not only in porn games. That creates a lot of hillarious dialogues. In persona 5 it was a blast, MC actually looks the part somewhat

I usually go with a nickname, as I would on any other kind of game or the internet. Don't like using real names nor silly jokes.

If you have multiple personality disorder; also known as dissociative disorder, you'll play as one of your alternate personalities for porn games, while your other personality is for real life. So you're still technically self inserting.

I voted for Silly/joke name, but I guess I could have voted Others. I name all the girls by default but I always name the MC as Qwerty.

It's mostly to keep it simple and consistent over all games. I'm not an inmersive player, I don't think that the dick all those girls are licking is my dick, but I also don't like to use the default name because reading a differnt name in every game feels kinda off.

I usually use the work most likely to be performed by the protag or derivated from it. Whatever comes to mind.

Lost in forest? Hunter.
A soldier of some sort? Guard / Lance
On a boat? Fisher
etc...

A bit strange, but I usually have fun with it.
