The animations are great, but I have to say that I'm worried about how they have removed all those casual NSFW scenes...
This 0.4 demo was my first time playing this, so here's a few thoughts:
So I played the NSFW version, and aside from a half finished non-canon secret sex scene at the end, there's absolutely no difference between the two versions, so all of my above points still stand. I've slightly edited a single sentence in point 5 to better reflect the NSFW version though.
- The production value is incredible. I've played probably around 40 or so games from this site by various creators, engines, and version numbers, and even then this demo is of a higher quality than most of those aside from a handful of renpy games and the full blown Japanese visual novels. If the creator retains this level of quality throughout production, it will definately be one of the best on the site.
- Voice acting is surprisingly good, and the impressions are impressively close to the series canon voice actors.
- There's very little in the way of content at the moment aside from the introductory sequences, so if you want some meat to a demo you might want to leave this one for a while to simmer.
- I'll reveal my power level for this one and say I've watched the entire series since mid season one came out, but I have to ask a question that will be meaningless to non-fans, when is this game supposed to be set during the series? Spike has wings, which he doesn't get until mid season 8, but they're missing the school of friendship that got built at the beginning of the season. It's a pretty noticable absence, since it's the same size as the castle of friendship and built literally right next to it.
- The most confusing and, slightly concerning question is, "where are the supposed NSFW elements?" I played the version on here from Nopy, and while it was still enjoyable, despite the the description on this page, the UI's promise of "memories", and aside from a single secret unlockable scene, I saw zero NSFW in my short playthrough. I clicked everything I saw, exhausted all the dialogue, found Derpy, got all the mane six to like me, and still nothing. On the contrary, I noticed multiple moments that had a glaring lack of NSFW where it felt like it should be, (scenes such as pinkie landing on you ass-backwards, or spying on the mayor) leading me to believe this was removed or changed for some reason. I also notice that they still use Patreon, and considering their recent puritanical stance on adult art and games, it wouldn't surpise me if there was some correlation. I only hope if this is the case, then it can be resolved by the next update, unless they plan to remove the NSFW elements entirely by their own volition, in which case they should at least be open about it.

Considering Twilight is an alicorn, my guess is that it IS post-series, or at least an amalgamation of it and the creator's creative licensing with the product. No need to throw in another location if the Mane 6 are already covered + Glimmer right?
Or they forgot I suppose.
For the record, they have stated in this thread (not the first post where everybody immediately reads but later on in later posts in this thread) that their main focus right now in the story with NSFW elements being the last thing on their mind. Yes, I am aware of the conflicting issue with that versus posting on a NSFW forum dedicated to NSFW games first and foremost. See a post of mine on the previous page for my further thoughts on that.
Also correct. To add-on to a point you brought up in the second quote, if they put the SFW version on Patreon mainly and the NSFW version on their site there should be no reason why that would be an issue. But the problem you mentioned is still valid on all fronts.

am i the only one having problems with the newest version getting stuck on the application scene picture? the text box continues and want me to click the saddle but i still only got the aplication screen so i cant continue
so this pisses me off the first update was amazing the second was good too but they started censoring it and now look at this all the good scene you guys had are gone all butts have no plot through the entire thing this is bs stop calling it a nfsw game because is not, you should tell everyone this is a sfw game with a nfsw rewards at the end there is not a single nfsw through the entire thing you could have made genitals visible when they are just talking at the beginning you were going this route but i guess voice acting was more important (you could have waited until the end of the game or mid way) and you erase all the good ones you already had... dammit i hate when a game try to pass as nfsw to get funding...

We've... said that? That we're focusing on the SFW content, that NSFW content will be restricted to the bedroom/a few select scenes to be earned through the game. That we trimmed out the the previous NSFW scenes because they did not fit the tone we were trying to set (that of a canon Equestria), and there had even been talks of a 'Porn Light' tag to place on the game (but we don't run this website, nor do we even manage the post here: It was posted by a mod.)
Our Patreon is SFW, our website is SFW, except for the single small link you have to click at the bottom of the webpage to actually get access to the Adult's Only Version. We're not baiting for funding, we just want to preserve the ability to write sex scenes as they become relevant.
Not sure what more you want from us. Aside from ponies running around with their genitals hanging.

a toggle for that stuff, even if it only applies in certain scenes like the old pinkie one, would be great though. a complete lack of sexual imagery leading up to a full sex scene doesn't do a whole lot to get the player excited about it. i really appreciate how the world is built without it, but i don't think a few occasional scenes showing some puss puss would take anyone who downloaded the nsfw version out of it.We've... said that? i mean what you people were doing before it was good then you drastically change it, the pinkie pie scene (this one didn't change at all just the nfsw part removed for no reason), the applejack one (the only one i can accept you that change enough that you guys had to remove it, because the other two didnt change at all ), the one of fluttershy (and no adding more characters to these scene is not enough of a change to say it was needed to change) they were just nudity but still was good is sad to see that is how it is now it has transform into this and i was here from the very beginning this have been changing more and more into only sfw game and the nfsw part have been pretty much removed, when it was not like that at all in the beginning, so yeah thats why i complain its fine if you guys NOW (because you cant say that is not a recent change when for like 4 updates more nfsw things were keep getting added) wanna do a sfw game but is sad to see how a good concept kinda died, you guys had a better idea than tiarawhy and well now is just another pony sfw game like the rest. that is why im sad we lost a good game for another generic one. i hope what you guys do becomes good something you guys can be proud of and not something you regret, but know that we will missed what it could have been and what it was better to everyone in this page, im sure to many others too.We've... said that? Perhaps it would, but it just wouldn't mesh well with the world we're trying to build. We're trying to craft Equestria without boundaries. I mean it when I say 'Like the show, but with possibilities beyond it', an expansion over what the original content was, an exploration. Casual nudity would certainly add to the adult appeal and make for a more sexually exciting game, but that's really not what we're going for. We're not trying to appeal to sexuality, the scenes we do have written and will produce are more about exploring what the characters do when put into adult situations.
I can understand that, and for that I can only really apologize. Since I took over as Project Manager, the game has changed directions in multiple ways: It's changed from a classic Visual Novel into more of a Life Simulation with a VN Shell. Its scope has expanded thoroughly, we've added voice over, animations, a new user experience/UI, added custom music, and went through a series of rewrites. So yes, the game has changed drastically since the beginning, and in a way that many see as for the better, though perhaps not to the taste of some on this site. We'll see if that remains as more of the game is developed.
Though the idea that the nudity and exposure made the game good is honestly something of an insult, and that now without said nudity it's strictly 'generic'. If a game relies on casual nudity to be good, then it wasn't good enough to stand on its own to begin with, unless that was the point of the game. (In the case of this game, it is not.)

It certainly made it better, rather then trudging 30 through game play only to miss the one H-scene in the game that's like 6 CG's.
I liked the casual nudity and personally I toggle VA off in all english adult games.
That said, It's a beautiful game and it's not costing me anything so I'm not gonna complain.

Definitely a beautiful pony game. Compared to Pony Waifu Sim or hell even the old Banned from Equaria (Misspelled it for sure) this game looks to be quite the refined experience, a taller order then even those dedicated pony games. The voice acting is great too, not often I see voice acting that doesn't make me cringe. I wouldn't be surprised if this game becomes THE pony game to play for the foreseeable future.
I'm sure the devs probably realized most people here even bothered to learn about this H game solely for the fact that it's an H game. And I'm sure the devs have probably figured out the difference between a 'game that has H' is going to be inferior to an 'H game' for a lot of people. At this point, they're probably better off making a decision on whether to just keep it SFW, or to actively integrate the NSFW content selfishly, or to just not care and continue as they have been. They'll continue to keep getting comments expressing their disappointment though as the 'what could have been' comments are just going to keep having more ammunition. Personally, I think it's a shame not to see more implementation of deeper sexual progression, regardless of the sacrifices involved to loosen the very tight story writing you have going on, the H scene sneak peek we got to see was very promising and looked very pony-like. Though, going SFW only would likely kill a large portion of the people bothering to pick this novel up, at least you'll have your loyalists.

Ok so the game's changed too much to really be considered an H-game, more like Adult Humor with a dating element. Without some nudity or actual sex scenes in the game can it even be called an Adult Only game.

Slightly conflicted with this game... Every time i check it out, the quality goes up, but also feels like groundhog day. I get that developing a game is hard, but It's been like 2 years or something since the first release? Also v 4.0 is getting way to close to the source material, hopefully hasbro doesn't shut it down like other fan MLP games when they are pretty much 1:1 visually similar to the show.
